L-size hot seafood pasta & chicken risotto at Yeosu restaurant Ravenna

I went to a pension in Yeosu over the weekend! Yeosu is where my mom's side of the family is from, and I love it there, so I got to look at the sea as much as I wanted and just relax. Since I was already in Yeosu, I figured — let's go find a good restaurant too! That's how I ended up at Ravenna, a Western restaurant in Yeosu. Here's the review 🐈🐈‍⬛

Ravenna's location and parking — 1 minute from D.Ocean Water Park

It's located in Soho-dong, right near the Aqua Garden & Mystery Zoo that's currently under construction! It's a 1-minute walk from D.Ocean Water Park.

The building has its own parking lot, so it's really convenient, and the parking area is shaded, which makes it even nicer !-! This Yeosu restaurant, Ravenna, is on the 2nd floor.

As soon as you walk in, you can see today's best menu sign! Good to reference when deciding what to order.

Interior seating — about 25 tables including group seating

The interior was really big and spacious. From 4-person tables to group seating, there were about 25 tables total. The restroom is inside too.

There's gat kimchi at the self-serve bar

A self-serve bar with coffee, radish kimchi and gat kimchi (mustard leaf kimchi) to enjoy after your meal! There were about 6 baby chairs too. Perfect for stopping by with kids after visiting the Yeosu water park, Aqua Garden, or Mystery Zoo 👍🏻👍🏻

The menu is broadly divided into steak, pilaf, pasta, risotto, and pizza. Drinks range from soda to ades, juices, beer, and wine! Perfect if you're looking for a Western restaurant in Yeosu.

Since I'd booked ahead, I was seated at a window table. And it's ocean view, no less ,,,💙 Ocean-view cafés are great and all, but a restaurant like this is just as good. A pretty view with delicious food is …🍝🍝🍝 and luckily the weather was great too.

The salad came out first! Ravenna gives you a salad and bread before the meal when you order. Great for getting your appetite going :)

And this bread ,, spread some butter on it and it's so, so good.

Chicken cream risotto L

Chicken cream risotto with bacon and chicken. Being the L size, the portion is definitely big. One nice thing about Ravenna! Dishes come in M or L, which is great — a lot of Western restaurants these days give you a skimpy single portion even at regular size, but the L here feels like about 1.7 servings.

Hot seafood hotpot pasta L

Pasta with fresh seafood and a rich tomato sauce. Loaded with shrimp, mussels, squid and more!

Overall thoughts

• ☑️ Gat kimchi at the self-serve bar (Yeosu's famous gat kimchi, at the self-bar?! 👍🏻)
• ☑️ Generous portions (M ≈ 1 serving, L ≈ 1.5 servings)
