What the restaurant looks like inside

The place was spacious and clean. It's also a good spot for group visits.
There are plenty of baby chairs on hand too, so it's great for family visits.
When it's busy, you can reserve through Catch Table — good to know!!
There were a bunch of autographs on one wall. Truly the mark of a great restaurant~

The kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and baek-kimchi noodles looked delicious too, but I was too full to try them — a shame.
The side dishes that come with every order
Since we had a reservation, the basic side dishes were already neatly set out when we arrived. There was a nice variety of things to eat with the meat, which I loved. I personally prefer this kind of variety over just lettuce wraps~

My foodie friend loved the shredded scallions!! As for me, the herring roe was so good I mostly ate it with that haha
Herring roe bibimbap, 9,000 won: how it tastes

This was my first time trying herring roe bibimbap, and it was milder than I expected — a flavor anyone could enjoy. They also gave us seaweed to wrap it in, and eating it that way was so nutty and clean-tasting~

The rice comes generously topped with fresh seasoned herring roe, seaweed flakes, vegetables, and sesame oil. Once you mix it all together and take a bite, the herring roe pops in your mouth and fills it with a nutty, sweet-and-spicy flavor.
The fried egg was soft-boiled, so when the yolk burst it was perfect for mixing in.

It's delicious just scooped up in a big spoonful like this,

and it's also great wrapped in seaweed!! The herring roe bibimbap is amazing on its own, but pairing it with a piece of well-grilled, juicy pork belly topped with a little herring roe was a special treat among special treats. The salty, popping herring roe combined with the rich, savory juice of the pork belly for an amazing chemistry that kept me reaching for more without ever getting tired of it.
Pork belly for two, grilled by the staff
Soon after, the pork belly for two arrived. It looked so good that every photo I took came out great!!!

Along with the meat came scallions, garlic, minari (water dropwort), and mushrooms, so we could try lots of different combinations!

Staff grilled the meat for us themselves, which I really loved!! Because meat grilled by someone else always tastes the best~
They carefully placed the thick, aged pork belly on the hot grill and cooked it with real care~
They also cooked the vegetables just enough and set them aside in advance, so we could eat them timed with the meat. Such thoughtful staff!!
Watching them grill so skillfully, the meat was ready before we knew it.

Maybe it tasted even better because it was grilled so beautifully~?

And the meat wasn't burnt at all — crispy outside, moist and juicy inside, cooked to just the right degree, which let us relax, chat, and focus on the meal.
Salt, minari, fish sauce, scallions and herring roe: the best way to eat it
First, they told us to try it with salt. Of course, the first bite should be with salt to enjoy the meat's natural flavor!

Next we had it with minari. The aroma of minari really does make it taste even better.

Then there was this fish sauce — I don't remember exactly what it was, but dipping the meat in it now and then cut through the richness nicely.

Next was with the sweet scallions~ So so good!!!

But my absolute favorite was eating it with herring roe. Was herring roe always this delicious??? This was my first time trying herring roe, and I was so happy to be able to eat as much as I wanted haha

The clean, spacious interior and convenient parking and accessibility were just the basics — but what really made the visit was the friendly, attentive grilling service, with staff carefully grilling the meat and even placing it right on our spoons the whole time. The combination of crispy-outside, juicy-inside pork belly, fragrant minari, and the must-order herring roe bibimbap with its popping texture was simply perfect.
