I stopped by Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch for a coffee while at Starfield Suwon. There are so many Suwon Starfield cafés that I was torn about where to go, but the coconut latte caught my eye so I went in.

I went in for the coconut latte, but the grapefruit ade turned out to be surprisingly delicious too, so I ended up enjoying both. Here's my honest review of Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch, a good spot for dessert after a meal at a Suwon Starfield restaurant or for a break while shopping.

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch is located at the entrance of Gourmet Street on the 2nd floor of Starfield. Parking is easy too, since Starfield Suwon offers 6 hours of free parking as standard.

Usually at shopping malls, free parking hours depend on how much you spend, so if you don't end up buying anything or eating a meal, you have to keep an eye on hitting the discount threshold. At Starfield Suwon, you get 6 hours free parking without needing to meet any spending minimum, which made it pretty convenient when looking for a Suwon café to chat in for a while — no worrying about parking.

Seating and atmosphere: resting with a stroller

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch has old-fashioned cash registers and knick-knacks on display, so even though it's small, it's fun to look around. This was actually the first time I learned that Suwon's mascot is named Suwoni, haha.

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch had quite a few seats to sit down and enjoy your drink.

There's no baby chair. The space itself isn't very large, so I actually wondered if it would be hard to have tea inside with a baby, but there was quite a bit of room behind the bar-style seating where I could park the stroller and rest for a bit together.

Inside, there's a separate self-bar where you can grab water, napkins, and straws yourself.

Also, you need to order one drink per person to use the space, and outside food isn't allowed.

Menu: hand drip, non-coffee drinks and desserts

Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters, a Suwon Starfield café, has quite a wide range of coffee options. Beyond the basic coffee menu, there's a separate hand-drip section where you can pick your own beans.

There are also non-coffee drinks like misugaru (roasted grain powder drink), cheongpo powder yogurt, and London fog milk tea, so it's great for someone like my husband who isn't much of a coffee drinker to enjoy the place together.

The dessert selection was more varied than I expected. If I hadn't eaten a big lunch, I would have tried dessert too — a bit of a shame.

How does the coconut latte taste? And the grapefruit ade?

The coconut latte is Jeong Jiyeong Coffee's signature menu item, so we ordered the coconut latte and the grapefruit ade.

The coconut aroma wasn't overpowering — it came through subtly — but the coffee flavor wasn't buried either, so the balance between the two was really good.

With coconut drinks, sometimes the coconut aroma or sweetness can be too strong, but this one was just sweet enough, making it a great fit for a dessert drink after a meal at a Suwon Starfield restaurant.

My husband, who doesn't drink coffee, ordered the grapefruit ade. Honestly, I didn't expect much, but one sip in, it tasted just like real grapefruit — so good. The grapefruit flavor was vivid and not too sweet, which I loved. The carbonation was clean too, so if you prefer something refreshing over a sugary ade, you'll probably be satisfied.

Is this Starfield Suwon café worth a stop?

Among the Suwon Starfield cafés, Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters Starfield Suwon Branch was satisfying for both coffee and non-coffee menu items. The coconut latte I tried wasn't just heavy on coconut aroma — I liked that you could taste both the coffee and the coconut together, and the grapefruit ade was cleaner than expected, so I'd probably order it again next time. If you're eating at Starfield Suwon and craving a good drink afterward, I recommend Jeong Jiyeong Coffee Roasters.
