Gumi bakery café for autumn chestnut latte and milk bread: Otters
In short
Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is a large bakery café on Seonsan-daero in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, open from 11:00 to 22:00. Visiting with a child, the writer ordered the autumn-season chestnut latte and an americano with melon bread, milk bread and a crème brûlée doughnut, and found the big parking lot out front, a nursing room, baby chairs and second-floor floor seating made it easy to stay a while as a family. The crème brûlée doughnut was the most satisfying pick at Otters.

I was looking for a café that's good to visit with a kid, and ended up at Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch. Bottom line: I was pretty satisfied, haha.
Where is Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch, and is there parking?

The address is 11 Seonsan-daero, 2(i)-dong, Gumi-si, Gyeongbuk, and it's open 11:00–22:00. There's a huge parking lot right in front of the store, which was so convenient. Not being able to find a spot is genuinely stressful, but there was no worry about that here, lol. When you're driving, parking really is everything. So if you're looking for a big café in Gumi, this one's pretty good in terms of accessibility too.
Inside Otters: nursing room, baby chairs and floor seating upstairs

True to its reputation as a large Gumi café, the building itself was bigger than expected. The moment I walked in I thought, "oh, this is bigger than I thought," lol. The interior was spacious and pretty clean too, so even with people around it didn't feel cramped.

There was also a photo zone, which was nice for taking pictures with my kid.

What I liked most was that there's a nursing room and baby chairs! When you're out with a baby, these things really matter, ㅠㅠ. Having a nursing room made it so much easier to relax and stay a while.

There's seating on the second floor too, with a floor-seating area and big tables, which looked great for families or larger groups. That's definitely one of the perks of a big Gumi café.
How big is the bread selection at Otters Jisan Saetgang?

True to a Gumi bakery café, the bread selection was huge. Browsing the display case was fun in itself, and every time I tried to pick just one, something else looked delicious too... so I ended up grabbing several, lol.

This time I ordered the autumn chestnut latte. Along with that: americano, melon bread, milk bread, and a crème brûlée doughnut! When you come to a Gumi bakery café, it feels like a waste to eat just one bread, haha.
Chestnut latte, melon bread and crème brûlée doughnut: honest review

Personally, my favorite was the crème brûlée doughnut. Maybe because I already love crème brûlée, but the outside was crisp and sweet while the inside stayed soft — so good. Paired with coffee, it just disappeared, lol.

The melon bread was also good, and the cream inside especially suited my taste.

The milk bread was mild and soft, perfect alongside the americano, and the chestnut latte was nutty and sweet — proper autumn vibes 🍂. Overall, every bread was tasty, so I left satisfied.
Is Otters in Gumi worth a visit with a child?

It was easy to visit with a kid, parking was convenient, and there was a wide variety of bread — a solidly good Gumi bakery café in many ways. The spacious layout plus the nursing room and baby chair make it a great fit for families in particular. I'd recommend it to bread lovers or anyone looking for a big Gumi café to relax and have coffee in.

Next time I go, I think I'll work my way through the breads I haven't tried yet, lol. If you're looking for a Gumi bakery café, Otters Jisan Saetgang Main Branch is worth a stop :)
Personally, if I'm going to sit in a café for a while, the space needs to be comfortable — and here the seating was ample and the atmosphere relaxed, so it was easy to pass the time. Especially when you're out with a kid, there's a lot to worry about, but having amenities like the nursing room and baby chair made things noticeably easier, haha. There's such a wide range of bread that next time I want to try other items one by one. Having a coffee, eating good bread, taking a few photos with the kid, lol — it just felt like the perfect low-key weekend outing. If you're looking for a Gumi bakery café or a big Gumi café, this one's worth a visit. I'm planning to go back on a nice-weather day and take it slow :)
