I had lunch with my baby and husband at a delicious Chinese restaurant near Bucheon City Hall Station. It's easy to get to and easy to park at, so I end up going there often. Here's my honest review of Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch, a place I've stopped by a few times now.

The hours at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch are really long. It's open every day, from 8 in the morning until 2:30 the next morning. That makes it a great option early in the morning or late at night when other restaurants are closed. Of course it's just as good a choice for lunch or dinner — the quality holds up, which is why I keep coming back.

They were running a jjajangmyeon discount event to celebrate their 5th anniversary. My husband said he actually came here when it first opened — hard to believe it's already been 5 years.

A clean-looking dining room. It really does feel spotless, and you can tell the place is carefully maintained.

Baby chair, kids' tableware and the self-bar at Jjambbong Jijon

The self-bar at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch has a baby chair and kids' tableware, side dishes like pickled radish and mung bean sprouts, and even rice. Since we were there for lunch with our baby, it was so convenient not having to bring anything extra.

The self-bar at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch had a lot of thoughtful details. Since we came with our baby, there was a baby chair along with kids' tableware, and side dishes like pickled radish and mung bean sprouts plus rice were all ready to go.

Surprisingly, even the hair ties were individually wrapped and ready. There were also various drinks and coffee available for after the meal, so overall I thought the customer care here was really detailed.

Ordering large jjajangmyeon, large jjamppong and sticky rice tangsuyuk

What we ordered at Jjambbong Jijon Bucheon Jung-dong Branch was a large jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles), a large jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and sticky rice tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). On top of that we got a free order of jjamppong fried dumplings, which made for a very generous spread.

There are so many menu options — jjajangmyeon, jjamppong, sticky rice tangsuyuk, Sichuan-style tangsuyuk, and more. What we ordered was the large jjajangmyeon, large jjamppong, and sticky rice tangsuyuk.

A really generous spread was laid out. The portions were huge — though to be fair, we did order a lot...

The jjamppong fried dumplings came as a free service item, and they actually tasted like jjamppong — subtly spicy, which made them a nice little specialty. They were pretty tasty!!! Tasty enough that I'd want to order them again next time.

How the jjamppong tastes — better with mung bean sprouts stirred in

The jjamppong was spicy but packed with vegetables, so the clear broth felt light rather than heavy, and it was fun eating bite after bite with clams, meat, squid, and chives all mixed in. I piled in a big handful of mung bean sprouts from the self-bar, and the crunch made it taste even more refreshing.

The jjajangmyeon — noodles that stay firm even when you eat slowly

The jjajangmyeon was sweet and delicious too. The noodles were nice and springy, so even though we ate slowly while tending to the baby, they never got mushy — which I really appreciated.

This was our little Yeon's very first jjajangmyeon in the world.

Sticky rice tangsuyuk with a chewy fried coating

The sticky rice tangsuyuk had an unusually chewy texture. That chewy fried coating paired with tender meat and a tangy sauce made every bite moist and just delicious.

Where to park near Jjambbong Jijon in Bucheon

For parking, they said the old terminal public lot gives 1 hour free, while the building's underground lot gives 2 hours free. The public lot seemed easier to park in, so if your meal isn't going to take too long, I'd recommend that one — it's right in front of the restaurant.

Is Jjambbong Jijon worth it with a baby?

Being near Bucheon City Hall Station with parking available makes this place easy to get to. You can enjoy high-quality Chinese food at a great price, which makes it a really good spot for a family meal. The interior is also clean and spacious, so you can eat comfortably.

Since the hours are so long and it's open every day of the year, you can eat there even very late at night or very early in the morning, when most other restaurants are closed.

Above all, the jjamppong, jjajangmyeon, dumplings, and tangsuyuk were all delicious, and the neat, fully stocked self-bar made me feel genuinely grateful for how much thought they put into their customers.
