Weeknight 8pm pork belly, kalchi noodles, heart-shaped fried rice
In short
Cham Dwaejitgan Bucheon Sinjung-dong Branch is a 24-hour Korean BBQ restaurant tucked in the food alley just 4 minutes from Sinjungdong Station Exit 3. Visiting on a weeknight at 8pm, the writer ordered two servings of Boseong nokdon pork belly, Jirisan kalchi (arrowroot) cold noodles, and fried rice, and was won over by the staff's charcoal-and-rice-husk grilling service and a fried rice shaped into a heart. With corkage-free drinks allowed, it's a solid pick for group dinners and work get-togethers.

4-minute walk from Sinjungdong Station Exit 3, inside the food alley

Cham Dwaejitgan, a Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjungdong Station, is easy to get to — just a 4-minute walk from Exit 3 — and it sits right inside the Sinjungdong food alley, which makes it a convenient spot to swing by.

There's no dedicated parking lot, so you'd need to use nearby public parking, but there is space in front of the store for about 2–3 cars. If the spots are open and people are willing to move their cars, you can park right out front while you eat!
A black-toned restaurant packed even at 8pm on a weeknight
The interior is a huge space done up in black tones, which gave it an even cleaner feel. Even though I visited past 8pm on a weeknight, the place was completely packed.

The tables themselves are large, and there are plenty of connected seating areas, which made this Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjungdong Station feel perfect for company dinners or group gatherings.

There's also an aging chamber for the meat set up in various spots around the restaurant.
Menu and what I ordered

This restaurant near Sinjungdong Station offers black pork ogyeopsal (five-layer belly) and neck meat, as well as Boseong nokdon pork belly and neck meat, plus hangjeongsal (pork jowl) and gabrisal (skirt meat). Side dishes include kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), steamed egg, cold noodles, soy sauce egg rice, and fried rice.

Side dishes, sauces, and the self-serve bar
The basic banchan (side dishes) they set out were wrapping vegetables, pickled garlic scapes, shredded green onion, and cabbage salad.
They also gave us a wide range of sauces — ssamjang (dipping paste), salt, wasabi, spicy sauce, and mushroom wasabi sauce — so there was plenty to mix and match with the meat!

If you run low on any side dish or sauce, everything is available at the self-serve bar for refills.
What's that rice husk next to the charcoal?
Charcoal sits in the middle of the grill, and around it was something unusual — rice husks! Smoking the husks alongside the charcoal infuses the meat with a subtle smoky aroma, giving the flavor an extra layer of depth.
Boseong nokdon pork belly (₩16,000) × 2

What I ordered was Boseong nokdon pork belly, from Grade 1 pigs raised on a green tea diet.

The pork belly itself is on the thick side, so as it grills on the pan the outside browns nicely while the inside stays moist and juicy.

When you order the meat at this Korean BBQ restaurant near Sinjungdong Station, they set out minari (water dropwort), seasoned bean sprouts, kimchi, and sliced potato to grill alongside it.
What I especially liked was that the meat and vegetables aren't grilled all mixed together — they're grilled separately, so you can eat it all more cleanly!
Staff handle all the grilling for you
On top of that, there's a grilling service where the staff do all the cooking for you, so all you have to do during the meal is comfortably pick up the meat and eat. If you're looking for a company dinner spot near Sinjungdong Station, having this grilling service really comes in handy 😉
Nice and golden brown 🔥 They mentioned that Cham Dwaejitgan uses a handmade grill pan that doesn't splatter oil, and honestly, I didn't feel a single splatter anywhere!
Dipping it in salt with a bit of wasabi on top, I could really taste the juicy texture along with the subtle smoky aroma from the charcoal and rice husks.
The sliced potato served alongside the meat was a total highlight, too!

Wrapping the potato with meat, bean sprouts, and minari is genuinely delicious, so make sure to try that combo 👍

And the combo with kimchi — need I say more ,, ‼️
Jirisan kalchi cold noodles (₩7,000)
Out came the kalchi (arrowroot) cold noodles, piled with slushy ice that looked refreshing on its own!

Because the noodles are made with arrowroot, they're incredibly chewy, and this side dish went well with the meat while also cleaning your palate nicely after all the rich, fatty pork.
Fried rice (₩3,000) — the heart-shaped finish

The moment I saw the grill pan, fried rice became a must-order menu item, no question 😉
The staff finely chopped up the leftover kimchi, bean sprouts, and minari, and personally fried the rice for us!

Heart-shaped fried rice complete 💛 Another day, another perfect finish to a K-dessert-worthy meal!

After finishing the meal, I checked out the counter and found all kinds of convenience items — candy, mouthwash, hair ties, floss, deodorant, glasses cloths — which made me feel looked after right up to the end, leaving with a good impression.
Wrap-up

The staff-run grilling service made the meal comfortable, and being corkage-free meant I could bring whatever drink I wanted at no extra charge — a nice bonus.
