A bakery café close to Mulwang Reservoir
I came across Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery while looking for a bakery café with a nice atmosphere around Mulwang Reservoir! It is close to the reservoir, making it a great place to stop for delicious bread after a meal.

Seating by floor, a rooftop, and a first-floor cat
The first floor has the bakery kitchen, where the bread is made in-house. On the second floor, there is a wide selection of baked goods, the ordering area, and seating. The third floor has more seats and a rooftop! With the rooftop and outdoor area, sitting outside with a cup of tea and delicious bread in this cool weather would be total healing~🍂🍁🌼 There is a cute stray cat on the first floor, and dogs are welcome too. Cute animals amid nature... so peaceful,,🐈

Such a nature-filled view~🌳🍃 I got there almost right when they opened on a weekday, so I managed to take café photos with the lovely scenery still in them.. After a little while, loads of older guests arrived after their meals and every seat was full. The second and third floors do have better views, but there was a cute kitty on the first floor, so I ate my yummy bread there and played with the kitty..💛

House-made breads and what we ordered
Apparently, Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery makes its bread in-house every day. Maybe that is why the sweet, fragrant smell of delicious bread throughout the café lifted my mood before I had even eaten any~😌💐 There were all sorts of breads, including mont blanc, castella sponge cake, strawberry croissants, cakes, mocha buns, egg tarts, canelés, and blueberry cream-cheese bread. I was surprised by how generously sized they were and how reasonably priced they seemed..!
We ordered the best-sellers: the mont blanc and whipped-cream croissant. Instead of strawberries, the whipped-cream croissant was topped with figs and green grapes💗

There was a wide range of drinks too
There was also a good range of drinks: coffee, non-coffee drinks, ades, smoothies, teas, and fresh fruit juice. They even had real mango juice with no added sugar, but because I have gestational diabetes, I ordered chamomile tea and an iced Americano instead,, Once the baby is born, I am definitely coming back for that 100% real mango juice!🥭🍹

There are photo spots all around too, so snap some pictures~📸

How the mont blanc and fig whipped-cream croissant tasted
The mont blanc was crisp outside, with distinct layers of pastry that made the texture really good! One bite brought a subtle, nutty buttery flavor, while the inside was moist and soft—such a great crisp-outside, tender-inside contrast. Its gentle sweetness was less rich than I expected, and the balance between buttery savoriness and sweetness was delicious. It went especially well with coffee and chamomile tea. One bite and you immediately understand why it is a best-seller!
The fig whipped-cream croissant was filled generously with soft, sweet whipped cream between its crisp-baked layers, giving it a wonderfully full flavor. The croissant's savory, buttery taste was joined by the figs' subtle sweetness and pleasantly chewy texture. The smooth cream paired so well with the fresh yet sweet figs and green grapes that it was not as heavy as expected, and I happily enjoyed every bite because the flavors worked together so well.
As someone with gestational diabetes, I really need to be careful with bread,, But the baby's abdominal circumference was about three weeks small, and it was so delicious that I ate a ton. My blood glucose two hours after eating was 120.. Hehe, better than expected, so I should come here for bread often😙

A great place to unwind after a meal
Flowerpot Cafe & Bakery was just the place to come when I was worn out by the city and needed some healing. Plus, with all that delicious house-made bread, it would be such a happy café-hopping stop after a meal! Planning to return~ They have high chairs too, so.. I will come with Mandu after giving birth👶
