Gangneung beach hotel with a 1-hour night spa in Room 402: Your Anmok

Why we chose Your Anmok as our Gangneung beach stay

Planning our Gangneung trip, my friend Daenggoori and I 👯 really wanted a stay close to the water. After looking around, we ended up booking Your Anmok's Anmok branch, a Gangneung stay by Anmok Beach known for its ocean view.

The sea view from the room was so pretty that I genuinely felt recharged the whole stay.

Here's my review of Room 402 at Your Anmok's Anmok branch :)

Where Your Anmok is and what time check-in starts

• 🕒 Check-in / Check-out: 15:00 / 11:00

Our stay was right across from Anmok Beach in Gangneung — step outside and you can walk straight onto the beach, and it's also a great spot for browsing cafés along Gangneung's coffee street.

Check-in starts at 3pm and check-out is by 11am.

Where do you park at Your Anmok?

Before check-in, they texted us the address, parking instructions, and everything we needed to know — super helpful to check in advance. You can double-park in the building's private lot, or park for free at the public lots in front of Anmok Beach or in front of Jogaerang Daegerang.

Personally I'd recommend the public lot right in front of Anmok Beach (you can even see it from the room! 🚘). When we arrived it was already full, so we grabbed an early dinner nearby and came back later. On weekends or peak season, spots can be hard to find, so I'd suggest building in extra time.. 🥹

Inside Room 402: condition and the ocean view

We stayed in Room 402.

The moment we opened the door, a clear info sheet on how to use the stay was posted right there, easy to check.

Can you see Anmok Beach through the window~? Gah! That exciting blue .. 🩵🤍 Perfect if you're looking for an emotional, beachfront-style Gangneung stay.

There was a standing hanger on one side, super handy for hanging coats or bags.

Bathroom amenities and supplies in Room 402

The bathroom was on the cleaner side too — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and the basic amenities were all provided.

In a basket next to the mini fridge, everything we needed was there — tissues, towels, a hair dryer, and more.

Can you cook in the room at Your Anmok?

The kitchen was pretty well equipped — a sink, single-burner induction stove, pots, dishes, cups, cutlery, and basic cooking tools.

That said, frying pans are not allowed in-room, and if you want to grill meat you'll need to rent a Zaiglen grill — good to know ahead of time! ⚠️

The spa runs until 10pm — close the curtains

🧖‍♀️🫧 This is the spa space. Per the info text, the spa is available until 10pm.

We used it for exactly one hour, from 9 to 10pm. The window doesn't have any privacy film, so you absolutely need to close the curtains when using it! People outside can see in, so double curtains are pretty much essential ⭐️ Dissolving bath salts in and soaking our feet in warm water — this bit of quiet romance was so lovely.

Winding down after the spa, watching TV in bed — total healing, honestly.. 🍂

Room 402 at Your Anmok: honest verdict

We could occasionally hear some ambient noise during our stay, but it was brief enough that it wasn't a real issue. The location was excellent, and the flow of picnicking at Anmok Beach and coming straight back to rest was super convenient 🤍

The sea view from the room is beautiful, but the real strength here is simply being right in front of the beach. My friend had also stayed at Your Anmok's Jumunjin branch with her boyfriend before, and said that one was great too — now I'm curious what that branch's vibe is like.. 😋

If you're looking for an ocean-view stay near Anmok Beach or an emotional Gangneung pension, I'd recommend Your Anmok :)
