What kind of stay is Esanghan Stay in Ingye-dong, Suwon?

I had some late-night work on the Suwon side and needed somewhere to stay, and it turned out this themed guesthouse, Esanghan Stay, was hiding out near Suwon City Hall in Ingye-dong 🤩 I booked it right away 👉

The room I stayed in this time was the STAY 501 room, which was quite spacious — ✔️roomy enough for up to four people — making it perfect as a Suwon party room or themed stay. Let's get into the review 👉

Room STAY 501: what you get and how check-in works

The room I chose, STAY 501, is set up for 2 guests standard (up to 5 max), with ✔2 bedrooms ✔2 beds ✔1 bathroom. ✅Check-in 16:00 ✅Check-out 11:00.

Once the booking is confirmed, you're individually notified by text of ✔️the room number and ✔️the password. No front-desk check-in needed, just walk right in — I really liked that 🙌 Esanghan Stay uses floors 5 and 6 of this building.

Arrived at room 501!

First impressions and the living room at STAY 501

Walking into the room for the first time, the all-white tone gave it a clean, tidy feel, and with one bedroom on either side of the living room and kitchen, it felt spacious, almost like renting an entire house.

Starting with the living room, a large sofa anchors the center — it's quite wide and plush, almost bed-level comfortable, and roomy enough to seat four or five people at once.

Projector, OTT streaming, and the Britz speaker

Facing the sofa is a projector, so you can enjoy content on a cinema-scale screen, and OTT content — Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, Tving, and more — is all fully set up, usable for free through the property's own login system without needing to log in separately 🙌

A Britz speaker is installed too, which made it feel much more alive, like being at an actual movie theater. Make sure to bring popcorn and snacks in advance!!! 🍿

Just looking at the number of remotes gives you a sense of how serious they are about content.

80 Nintendo Switch games to play

A Nintendo Switch is fully set up, and with 80 game titles, a whole day indoors just gaming wouldn't be enough 🤩 I get now why this is known as a spot for indoor dates in Suwon.

It's great on the console screen alone, but it can also connect to the projector so you can enjoy it on a big screen.

The two bedrooms in STAY 501

Bedroom 1, next to the kitchen, has a queen-size bed for two and a built-in wardrobe, great for dumping your clothes, bags, or luggage.

The decorative touches were nice, and even though it's attached to the kitchen, a sliding door separates the space well, making good use of the layout.

This is the second bedroom. It also has a queen-size bed and similar decorative touches.

Kitchen, washer, and dryer

The kitchen is fully equipped and clean, almost like an actual home kitchen, and with a drum washer and dryer right next to it, you can do laundry from wash to dry in one stop — that at-home comfort was a key feature. The fridge is a Samsung with both fridge and freezer compartments, so it was great for stocking it up after a grocery run.

There's a round table for four, a nice spot to sit and chat over a meal or order late-night snacks.

• Cutlery set and various kitchenware
• Pots and frying pans

Everything's provided, to the point you could show up with nothing but yourself.

There was even a neatly stocked first-aid kit, which felt like a thoughtful touch.

Bathroom, shower, and amenities

The bathroom and shower area was quite large and spacious. Partitions divide the space, so multiple people can use it at once when things get busy, and there's enough room for a family to shower together with kids in tow.

There were 7 towels provided, all cleanly laundered with a soft cotton scent.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in reusable bottles, the hair dryer had fairly strong airflow, and disposable amenities were also on hand — toothbrush, toothpaste, skin lotion, shower towel — enough that you really could come with nothing but yourself!

Is Esanghan Stay Suwon Ingye worth it?

Honestly, one night felt too short at Esanghan Stay, this themed guesthouse in Ingye-dong, Suwon! I'll try a different room next time. Had a comfortable stay :)
