Hi, this is Yeni! Ever since I had the fresh-fruit bingsu (shaved ice dessert) at Fruit Forest, I've sadly not been able to eat bingsu anywhere else. The quality gap is just too big, haha, I can't do it anymore ㅠㅠ
I visited Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store, a dessert specialty shop in Paju that makes everything with 100% fresh fruit — genuinely fresh and delicious.

Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store welcomes you with fresh, 100% real fruit. It hasn't been open that long, but it's already famous as a spot for fruit juices and bingsu made purely from 100% fresh fruit.
The moment I opened the door and stepped in, yellow mangoes ripening away were the first to greet me with their sweet fragrance.
Next to the counter, a huge fridge was packed with melon, green grapes, dragon fruit, pineapple, watermelon — fruits so fresh-looking that just browsing them was refreshing and fun.
What desserts does Fruit Forest have on display?
It had been a while since my last visit, and unlike before, there were now all kinds of new bakery desserts, cakes included. I'm a huge bread lover, so the moment I saw the showcase, my instincts kicked right in.
Among all the bread, the Basque cheesecake with its beautifully scorched top immediately caught my eye. Fresh-fruit desserts plus good bread?! That combo is not one to miss.
A cool autumn evening at the foot of Simhaksan
Driving through the streets around Simhaksan on a cool, romantic autumn night, I came a bit later than usual for dessert.
After sunset, the restaurant street around Simhaksan lights up with pretty lamps everywhere, creating an atmosphere very different from daytime — brighter and more romantic.
After a hearty meal, stopping by as if on a stroll to end the day with something sweet — I thought there couldn't be a more perfect spot for that.
Outdoor terrace seats with a night view
Walking into Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store, I found plenty of plush sofa seating,
and lots of newly added, great-atmosphere seats on the terrace side where you can get some outdoor air.
I wanted to enjoy the pretty night view with the cool autumn air, so I took a seat on the terrace. This hidden terrace, reached by going down the stairs from the main store, has a much more open view and the night breeze felt even cooler.
The yellow lights lit everything up so nicely — it was a genuinely good night.
Pineapple juice 1+1 for ₩8,000: is it worth it?
At Fruit Forest, certain menu items like pineapple juice, fresh mango juice, and banana latte are sold as 1+1 for an affordable ₩7,000–8,000.
I make banana latte at home sometimes, but pineapple is such a hassle to prep that I rarely get to eat it. So I went with the pineapple juice — best choice ever!

Taking a cool sip of the pineapple juice, it was refreshingly sweet — probably because it's so fresh — with bursts of tanginess that made me let out an actual gasp of delight.
They clearly manage their fruit quality carefully, because pretty much everything here tastes amazing.
Basque cheesecake ₩6,000 and mont blanc ₩8,000
The Basque cheesecake had that dense, rich cheese flavor it's known for, sweet in just the right amount — I honestly gasped a little to myself. Paired with the pineapple juice, it was a perfect match!!
I also tore the mont blanc apart along its ridges to eat — crispy outside, moist inside, and I inhaled it in no time.
Arriving close to closing time at Fruit Forest
My visit was close to closing time, so the staff must have been quite tired after a full day of work, but they were still bright and friendly — I really appreciated that.
On a cool autumn evening with a gentle breeze, if you want to spend some relaxed time with delicious fruit desserts, I recommend Fruit Forest.

I always end up standing at the counter deciding what to order, which feels a bit bad for the staff. Luckily there was no line this time so it was fine, but next time I'll pick my order before I go.
