The five breads packed after a Hongdae meal

At Mandong Jegwa Yeonnam Branch, I packed up 5 items: cappuccino bread ₩5,600, shrimp baguette ₩5,800, salt soboro ₩3,600, chestnut-red bean-mugwort loaf ₩7,200, and walnut bread ₩4,300.

Bread bread bread~ so heavy. Gotta get home quick and try it with the family.

Shrimp baguette, 5,800 won: does it taste like a shrimp burger?

Shrimp baguette with slits cut in

It comes with slits cut in for easy tearing off piece by piece. I popped a piece in my mouth without thinking and got hit with the flavor of a shrimp patty burger — totally surprised me haha. That sudden shrimp patty taste — if you're a shrimp burger fan, you'll fall for this instantly.

Cappuccino bread, 5,600 won

Cappuccino bread packed with an ice pack

The cappuccino bread has cream so it needs refrigeration, and they thoughtfully pack it with a mini ice pack!! Big props for that.

The cappuccino bread is super soft and melts in your mouth, still with a nice chewy texture, and a mocha aroma that pairs perfectly with an Americano.

Salt soboro, 3,600 won

Salt soboro with its sweet-salty combo

The salt soboro has a crunchy crumb topping with a salty-sweet combo of salt and sugar.

Walnut bread, 4,300 won

Cross-section of the nutty walnut bread

The walnut bread has good chew and is packed with nutty flavor, so it goes great with coffee.

Chestnut-red bean-mugwort loaf, 7,200 won

Chestnut-red bean-mugwort bread sprinkled with soybean powder

Full of chestnut and red bean paste~~ chewy, with sweet soybean powder sprinkled on top, giving you bread and rice cake at the same time in a unique flavor. Recommended if you have an old-school Korean sweet tooth.
