Is Cafe Pomun easy to visit with a stroller?

Let me introduce Cafe Pomun, a Songtan café that's good to visit with a baby~ It's a big Pyeongtaek café with a 1st floor, 2nd floor, and annex, so it was easy to get around with a stroller.

Cafe Pomun has been a dessert café in Icheung-dong for 10 years. The dessert lineup was so packed it made me jealous of Songtan locals, and everything was so delicious... ugh... if this were near my house I'd be buying it all the time!!

It's a café famous for its baked-good desserts, but the drink lineup was also varied, and above all there was a signature menu. Of course you could switch to decaf, and milk could also be swapped for oat.

There are perks for pregnant guests too, so check this out if that's you!! Pregnant guests get one free baked good, and kids (ages 0–7) get milk or juice. Please make more events for moms too(!)

2nd floor or annex: where to sit at Cafe Pomun

The vibe on the 2nd floor was so pretty too. Since I had the stroller with me I chose the annex over the 2nd floor, but the 2nd floor was an appealing space too. There are big windows with trees outside, giving it a lush, green feel. I'd recommend visiting in summer or fall.

The annex has such a great atmosphere too! The owner told me the annex was expanded just last year. Since I had a stroller, they recommended the annex. It's collaborating with a furniture brand, and scanning the QR code on the table let me easily see the furniture info.

The table looked so nice I checked the price — around ₩600,000, haha. The tables are spaced widely, so it was comfortable to chat with a friend with the stroller parked right beside me. I was a bit sad there was no sofa seating — turns out that's not in the annex, it's on the 2nd floor.

Why the dessert case thins out by 2 p.m.

Visiting Cafe Pomun and not eating dessert is a crime. I went around 2pm and a lot of desserts had already sold out, which was a bummer ㅠㅠ It felt like people had ordered one of pretty much everything left... If you want to try every kind, go early! I'd seen reviews with cake at Cafe Pomun, but when I went there were only baked goods left.

If a neighborhood café has been around for over 10 years, the taste is already proven, right? The baked goods were chewy, and each flavor was packed with generous ingredients, so the taste really came through. Pretty to look at, and delicious too 👍🏻 The sea tangle (gamtae, dried seaweed) caramel financier in particular — I was a little nervous, like, does seaweed even belong in a dessert...? — but it worked surprisingly well with the caramel's sweetness. A genuinely unusual dessert.

One baked good per person felt like not quite enough somehow, so I'd recommend two per person(?). Chewy on the outside, moist and soft inside — every financier at Cafe Pomun was delicious!

What does the signature Pomun coffee taste like?

Since this is an Icheung-dong dessert café, I've been talking about nothing but dessert, but the signature drink is rich and delicious too. I ordered the Pomun coffee, and it was a soft, rich, sweet latte with cream on top. The cream had what tasted like ground Lotus coffee cookies mixed in, giving it a crunchy bite. It was good enough that I wanted to just eat the cream by itself.

The weather was cool enough that they had the windows open instead of the AC, and it was still comfortable. Can't believe it's already fall weather~~

The annex atmosphere is really nice too~~ Water and blankets were thoughtfully provided. It was quiet enough to be great for reading or chatting — a Songtan café I'd 100% return to!!

I wanted to take home more dessert but there wasn't much left, which was disappointing ㅠㅠ Next time I'll go earlier! The weather was also nice enough to sit outside, so give Icheung-dong's dessert café Pomun a visit~
