Rather than parking inside the building, it's much easier to park at the public lot right out front. If you park there, you get 1 hour 30 minutes free. That said, you must register your exit at the payment machine even when leaving.

A three-item menu: jjamppong, jajangmyeon, and dumplings

💵 Cockle jjamppong is 11,000 won. A great price for a bowl of jjamppong! Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong only sells three things — jjamppong, jajangmyeon, and dumplings. Personally, if two people are visiting, I'd recommend ordering two bowls of jjamppong rather than jajangmyeon!

Inside the restaurant and the self-serve corner

Once you're inside, there are seating areas on both the left and right. The left side is smaller and good for those who want to eat quietly, while the right side works better for two or more diners. Most people come here for a hangover cure or something spicy, whether it's lunch or dinner. There can be a wait during weekend lunch hours, but on the day I visited, I got seated with no wait at all.

There's a self-serve corner set up with onions, pickled radish, bowls, scissors, and other tableware. Kids' spoons and forks are also available — just take as many as you need.

Cockle jjamppong: basic flavor vs spice level 2

The basic flavor and spice level 2, side by side! The colors don't look all that different, but the level of spiciness is clearly different. In the photo, the bottom bowl is the basic version and the top one is level 2! The level 2 version is a hit if you love spicy food — it's the kind of heat that clears you out without hurting your stomach. The basic level is about as spicy as Shin Ramyeon.

The jjamppong ordered at basic level! The noodles are so chewy that even after time passes, they never feel soggy. The best part is the review event — leave a review and you get a drink or fried dumplings for free. Since the fried dumplings sell for 6,000 won, I sign up for the review event every single time I come!

A friend from Cheonan gave Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong two thumbs up when it comes to jjamppong, and this was my second visit! It's the kind of jjamppong place you'll want to keep coming back to 👍🏻, and also perfect for curing a hangover. Just like my first visit, I came here to eat jjamppong as a hangover cure — and ended up craving more soju anyway, thanks to Bultina Kkomak Jjamppong.
