Yongin noodle restaurant for bibim jjolmyeon: Chilseong Jemyeonso
In short
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch is a noodle restaurant in Seongbok-dong, Yongin, Gyeonggi. My friend and I shared charcoal-grilled beef bibim jjolmyeon, summer chogye guksu, shrimp tempura, and tteokkochi, with easy parking. The charcoal-grilled beef bibim jjolmyeon is the dish I would order again.

I happened to find Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch while going to meet a friend who lives in Seongbok-dong—such a great jjolmyeon (chewy spicy noodle) place! Seeing tteokkochi (rice cake skewers) on the menu brought back old memories too, haha. I was so happy to see it~
Chilseong Jemyeonso Suji Main Branch location and parking

Chilseong Jemyeonso was on the first floor of the Seohui Starhills apartment shopping arcade. It is about a five-minute drive from Seongbok Station and Suji Lotte Mall, and both the parking and the arcade were easy to find~ Don't take the underground driveway; stay alongside the apartment complex and enter through the entrance around the middle of Seohui Starhills Apartments. No separate parking validation needed!

We went a little before the noon rush, and there were lots of people dining alone as well as families. The huge windows were full of greenery and made the place bright, so Chilseong Jemyeonso had such a nice atmosphere too!
Noodles and sides my friend and I ordered
We ordered charcoal-grilled beef belly bibim jjolmyeon, chogye guksu (cold chicken noodle soup), shrimp tempura, and tteokkochi!

Charcoal-grilled beef belly bibim jjolmyeon
It had been ages since I had chewy, springy jjolmyeon! It came piled high with colorful, fresh vegetables—carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, perilla leaves, cabbage, and more—and topped with beef belly full of charcoal-grilled aroma. It was soooo good! Even if I come back, I think I would order this same dish again!

Summer-limited chogye guksu
Summer may feel like it is over, but it was still hot while we were out during the day, so we also had cool chogye guksu! The chicken breast was incredibly tender, and the house chogye broth was tangy, sweet, and even nutty—a real treat :)

My friend and I shared everything, and we could get empty plates from the self-service bar. There were scissors too, and once we started eating the jjolmyeon, I understood why, haha. Grab them all at once, haha.

Nostalgic tteokkochi and shrimp tempura
And the nostalgic tteokkochi!!! The crisp yet soft tteokbokki rice cakes were coated in a sauce remarkably similar to the one I ate as a student, which was amazing~ haha. Tteokkochi is best eaten before it cools down, while the outside is still crisp!^^

We also ordered five shrimp tempura, and they paired nicely with the clean, light noodle dishes~
Chilseong Jemyeonso Seongbok-dong menu and prices

The summer seasonal chogye guksu was ₩13,500. The portion was quite generous! Even the broth was fantastic~

Chilseong Jemyeonso has all kinds of noodle dishes, including handmade soy milk noodles, handmade buckwheat soy milk noodles, pork cutlet soba set meals, cold buckwheat soba set meals, perilla oil aged-kimchi bibimbap, meat soboro bibimbap, seafood mixed kalguksu, udon, makguksu, and jjolmyeon!
There are also pork loin cutlets made with 100% domestic meat, real cheese cutlets, chewy potato pancakes, shrimp tempura, flat dumplings, tteokbokki, seaweed rolls, and even kids' meals, so I think it would be great for the whole family to come eat together~
Chilseong Jemyeonso was such a delicious Seongbok-dong lunch spot that my friend and I really enjoyed! I have to come again next time!
