I heard there's a famous BBQ place in Cheonan that's not only great for pork belly but also serves fresh pork ribs — and you know I can't skip fresh pork ribs, haha! So I rushed straight over for dinner to Motsaenggin Ttungdwaeji Cheongdang Branch, a Cheongsu-dong favorite ❤️

Right after ordering, they set up the basics first

Turns out doenjang stew, corn cheese, and a fried egg are all included free!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Fresh pork rib: thick cuts grilled by the staff
And then, the two servings of fresh pork rib arrive!! The look was so similar to pork belly I thought there was a mistake, but it really is thick, fresh pork rib

The staff grill all the meat for you

They cut it into bite-sized pieces and grill it perfectly :) Wow, this pork rib already looks delicious just from the visual ❤️

Salted pollock roe, roasted seaweed and pickled radish: the owner's wrap combo
Fresh pork rib is best eaten plain, but with a bit of salted pollock roe (myeongnanjeot) on top, it's got zero gaminess and tastes so nutty and delicious,

and you can enjoy it even more with the owner's recommended wrap combo, so I tried a bit of everything :)

Lightly grilling seaweed on the grill plate, then topping it with the special soy sauce and scallions, and pairing the meat with pickled radish and kelp — also so delicious 👍

Kimchi stew packed with meat, and a drink to finish
And then the kimchi stew that takes about 20 minutes!! Wait, what's with this portion size? 🙌👏 A pot of kimchi stew so full it looks like it's about to overflow ❤️

I portioned some into a small plate but the meat just kept coming — you could fill up on the meat alone from the kimchi stew... haha. Rice topped with a fried egg, plus a meat-packed kimchi stew — do I even need to say more? The best, the best!!👍

They even have a slushie and coffee ready, so the ending is perfect too :)

Is Motsaenggin Ttungdwaeji Cheongdang Branch worth a visit?
Not only was the meat great, but all the staff were so kind that I left happy — Motsaenggin Ttungdwaeji Cheongdang Branch ❤️ Apparently it's also famous for pork belly, so I'll have to rush back next time for that!! If you're looking for a great restaurant in Cheonan's Cheongsu-dong, especially for meat, I highly recommend visiting Motsaenggin Ttungdwaeji Cheongdang Branch 🙏
