Songpa bakery café for takeaway salt bread: Grid Cafe
In short
Grid Cafe is a dessert café near Ogeum Station in Songpa, Seoul, for takeaway salt bread and egg tarts. The ciabatta was sold out, but the classic salt bread and signature egg tart were especially satisfying. Verdict: get the classic salt bread and egg tart to go.

Isn't the exterior so neat just from looking at it? It totally has that cute neighborhood-café vibe, haha.

They even have set times when the bread comes out. Popular items sell out quickly, so keep that in mind before you go!
What Is the Space Inside Like?

The space inside was smaller than I expected. I think you need to come early to snag a seat!
Bread Menu and Sold-Out Items

These are the items they sell: salt bread, egg tarts, scones, and ciabatta. But when I went, all the ciabatta was sold out ㅠㅠ

You order at the kiosk!

Leaving the sold-out items behind, I bought whatever was left. Next time, I'll come early and try the ciabatta 🥹

They also have a photo-review event, so keep that in mind! Rusks, too +_+

This is how much I brought home~~!! This bread girl is dying happy here...
- Salt bread ₩3,000 × 2
- Crack salt bread ₩3,000
- Egg tart ₩3,700
- Corn egg tart ₩4,000
- Melon salt bread ₩4,500
- The total came to ₩21,200. The prices are pretty decent too, right!!
Taste Test of the Takeaway Desserts

Signature Egg Tart
Wow, this was seriously delicious! The layers were perfect, and the cream inside was amazing!!

I'm giving this the number-one spot among all the egg tarts I've tried... It tasted like, ah, so this is why people buy them, haha.
Crack Salt Bread ₩3,000

Crack salt bread! I wanted to try it so badly on the way home that I took a bite, haha.

The outside was definitely crispy, but it was a little chewy too. It was tasty, but... I recommend the classic salt bread!
Salt Bread ₩3,000

The foundational menu item, salt bread!! I hadn't even tried it, but I bought two, haha.

But it was absolutely worth buying two...!!

It was dripping with buttery oil and had a huge butter pocket—I wanted to put ice cream in it so badly...
Melon Salt Bread ₩4,500

The melon salt bread had a cookie topping and melon cream inside! There was plenty of melon cream, and it tasted fine, but...

The top cookie was soggy, and the salt bread was soggy too, which was a little disappointing. But I have a feeling it would be incredible if you freeze it and heat it in an air fryer. Don't eat it at room temperature like I did—freeze it, then pop it in the air fryer!!
Corn Egg Tart ₩4,000
Corn egg tart!! It was my first time trying a different egg-tart flavor, so I wondered whether the filling would taste like corn!

After trying it, it tasted like the classic filling mixed with canned corn! It was tasty, but I thought the classic egg tart was better, haha.
I was so happy and ate so well at Grid Cafe, the dessert café! If you're ever in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by~
