Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch, close to Bangi Station
Odol galbi was a meat dish I had never even heard of before. They say it is made by mincing odol-bone cartilage and mixing it with a special sauce. The charcoal aroma blended with that sauce, plus the crunchy bite, is absolutely superb.

Today, I ordered the Snowflake Galbi and Odol Galbi. I got to try both beef and pork ribs.

These are the basic side dishes at Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch. There were plenty to enjoy with the meat, including ssam greens (wrap vegetables), pickled onions, pickled perilla leaves, pickled radish wraps, and seasoned shredded radish. The vegetables were fresh too, so I could eat with confidence. You can pick up more side dishes from the self-service bar if you run out. The self-service bar was kept clean as well.

Here are the Snowflake Galbi and Odol Galbi we ordered. The odol galbi arrives coated in a brown marinade, and honestly, it is the ultimate rice thief. The marbling on the Snowflake Galbi was so pretty the moment I saw it. You could tell they use good-quality meat.

Lightly cooked Snowflake Galbi and crunchy Odol Galbi
Snowflake Galbi is premium-grade LA beef ribs. You lightly cook the thick LA galbi over the highest heat, steak-style, then dip it in salt and eat. Cut the bone into three sections and it just melts in your mouth. Since it is beef ribs, it only needs a light cook. Being impatient, I happily started with the Snowflake Galbi.

Odol Galbi comes with minced odol-bone cartilage tossed in sauce. Just gently grill it over charcoal until delicious. The tasty marinade and charcoal aroma make it even better.

The crunchy chew of the Odol Galbi was such a real treat. I ordered a bowl of rice as soon as I took one bite. Maybe I liked it even more because I already love odol-bone cartilage. It was not like ordinary galbi—it was a flavor that made me want to come back for more.

It is also delicious wrapped in pickled onions, just like galbi. The marinade really was a wonderfully tasty galbi sauce. It is great as a rice thief and equally good as an accompaniment to drinks. If you are looking for great LA beef ribs and odol galbi near Jamsil or Bangi Station, I recommend Dangsan Odol Bangi Branch~
