Gimcheongja Maeun Galbijjim Seohyeon Station Branch is Sittungsuttung’s regular spot whenever that hot, red, spicy flavor is calling-! This is visit number N :) More than simply “spicy braised ribs,” it’s a perfect course of tender meat, spicy sauce, noodles, and fried rice—done and dusted!

It is on the second floor of Cheonji Officetel, 16 Hwangsaeul-ro 330beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, 145 m from Seohyeon Station on the Suin–Bundang Line. Reservations are not available; walk-ins only.

Parking is free for two hours in the Cheonji Officetel mechanical parking garage in the same building. SUVs, large vehicles, and other cars that cannot use a mechanical garage can use a nearby public parking lot.

Lunch special and menu

There’s also a lunch special for Seohyeon Station office workers :) From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays, the spicy braised ribs set comes with a bowl of rice and steamed egg—such great value 👍🏻👍🏻 Extra rice is free with the weekday lunch special only ⭐️⭐️

There is a wide selection of sides, fried dishes, and alcohol too, so it is perfect for having a drink with spicy braised ribs as your bar snack-!

Spicy braised pork ribs with flat glass noodles

The banchan (Korean side dishes) are here! From gim (roasted seaweed) and bean sprouts, indispensable with spicy braised ribs, to kimchi, pickled perilla leaves, and corn salad~~

Steamed egg, ₩5,000. So soft and fluffy-! I liked that it was not salty :)

Spicy braised pork ribs for two, ₩32,000. This is roughly how it comes without extra add-ins-! Sittungsuttung added flat glass noodles here :)

It already comes with a decent amount of rice cakes, so I think it would be enough to add either rice cakes or noodles, rather than both-!

How spicy is the medium level?

First bite: bean sprouts + rice cake + meat! We ordered the medium (regular) level, described as Buldak-level spicy, and it was hotter than Shin Ramyun but less spicy than Buldak!

Rather than an aggressively hot spice that only makes your tongue hurt, it was spicy enough to let the sauce itself come through :) A clean heat built on chili powder, with a sweet-spicy sauce and a hint of garlic ‼️

Tender meat is important in braised ribs-! No matter how good the sauce is, I do not reach for braised ribs if the meat is tough. Gimcheongja Maeun Galbijjim Seohyeon Station Branch says it boils its meat for more than three hours every day :) Above all, the spicy sauce had fully soaked into the meat, so the seasoning was just right!
