Saturday sandwich lunch: truffle jambon-beurre at Saechamcoffee

Today I went to Saechamcoffee, a sandwich spot that's pretty famous on Anyang's Daengridan-gil. I'm stuck at work on weekdays so I can't really enjoy brunch, so on weekends I sometimes go out for it haha.

We used Samdeok Park public parking. It was about a 5-minute walk.

What we ordered

We ordered one spicy chicken sandwich set, one truffle jambon-beurre sandwich, and one iced strawberry latte. All the sandwiches looked so good it was tough narrowing it down to two haha.

Saechamcoffee also runs a membership tier system and sells prepaid cards. Seems like it'd be great for regulars who come often.

The sandwiches looked delicious, but there were also all kinds of cakes and cookies.

The vibe at 3pm on a Saturday

The place is spacious, clean, and pretty. And the relaxed atmosphere was so nice. I visited around 3pm on a Saturday, and there were more people than I expected.

Ta-da. So pretty, right haha. The sandwiches come out after being cooked, which took about 10 minutes.

The sandwiches come out already cut in half, so if you're two people you can each have your own half of both, nicely shared lol.

Spicy chicken sandwich

This black one is the spicy chicken sandwich! The look alone made me curious, and the chicken was tender with a spicy sauce that gave it a real kick. The crunch of the onion, the sauce, and the chicken went well together, and the filling was more substantial than I expected, so it was quite filling haha.

Truffle jambon-beurre sandwich

This is the truffle jambon-beurre sandwich! There was a subtle truffle aroma and you could really taste the nutty, smooth flavor of the butter. With the salty jambon (ham) on top, it was clean yet quite rich in flavor.

Looking at the photo makes me want it again,, really,, it was so good ㅜㅜ

My personal pick was the truffle jambon-beurre, and my boyfriend's was the spicy chicken sandwich.

Iced strawberry latte and Americano

The strawberry latte came well-stirred, and you could bite into strawberry pieces here and there, so it was fresh and sweet and really tasty. The milk and strawberry blended well together, and it paired perfectly with the sandwiches.

I'm dieting, so I had it with an Americano lol. The Americano was clean and nutty, easy to drink without feeling heavy. It had just the right bitterness with a clean finish, so it went well with the sandwiches.

We cleared our plates happily.

How was it as a brunch café in Anyang

Overall, everything from the sandwiches to the drinks was delicious. The menu is varied enough that you can pick based on your taste. Each sandwich type has a different charm, so it seemed like a good place to visit with several people and order different things to share.

Pairing it with a drink made it good for a quick simple meal, and also fine for sitting and chatting at leisure haha. Above all, the sandwiches were more filling than expected, so I came in wanting a light bite and left pretty full.

It's a good spot to rest for a bit with a cup of coffee and a tasty sandwich, so I'd like to stop by again if I'm nearby. ((Next time I want to try the cookies and the cup bingsu.))

It's also close to Anyang Jungang Market, so it'd be a nice course to browse the market and then grab a great sandwich. If you're looking for brunch or a relaxed coffee spot around Anyang, I recommend Saechamcoffee!!
