Anyang sandwich café takeout: all 3 sandwiches at Saechamcoffee

A brunch café on Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil haha, it's near my place so I think I'll be a regular from now on. The sandwiches were sooo good.

There are quite a lot of aesthetic cafés around Daengri-dan-gil these days, so I was debating where to go, and ended up here. Bottom line: the vibe was great and the sandwiches were delicious, so I left pretty satisfied. I think the signature here is the sandwiches. Today I'm the one who tried all three kinds — that's me!

What's the vibe like? Wood tones and a fairly spacious layout

It's a café with a cozy wood-toned vibe, and the space is bigger than I expected. Rather than being decorated too flashily, the details — the props, furniture, lighting — give off a natural sense of atmosphere, which I personally liked more. A lot of cafés these days feel like they're built just for photos, but Saechamcoffee looked great in photos while also feeling comfortable enough to actually sit and rest in.

This place feels like a brunch café and a dessert café coexisting. But today I was set on brunch, so dessert got put on hold. Because... all the sandwiches looked so good I couldn't skip any of them ㅠ,ㅠ,ㅠ. My mom and dad happened to be stopping by after visiting Soraepogu, so I was going to pack sandwiches to give them.

Who to go with, and the goods

It fits well with the distinctive alley vibe of Daengri-dan-gil, so it's nice to wander around nearby and then stop in for coffee. It's comfortable for chatting with a friend, works fine as a date spot too, and would also suit a day when you just want to sit quietly with coffee for a while.

They also sell café goods here — cap hats, blended coffee beans, mugs, and more. It's kind of a 'become a member of Saechamcoffee!' vibe hahahaha. Goods that are clearly infused with the owner's aesthetic. I should buy the beans and try them sometime. Hehehe. Once the weather cools down again I need to rekindle my dream of hand-dripping coffee at home.

Honestly, it's the kind of cozy café I would've frequented for studying back in the day. These days I love being home so much I don't go out to cafés much haha. But before I lived alone, I used to love cafés with this kind of vibe.

Apple-beet juice and how the takeout was packed

The takeout items came packed beautifully. I'm usually all about iced Americano no matter what, but today I went for something like a determined health juice. They said it's blended apple and beet, and the beet flavor was really good. If the beets in my own garden don't grow too chunky, I should blend them together like this too! I thought, walking home hahahaha.

This is perfect to pack and take on an outing. It's near Anyang Station, and Samdeok Park is right nearby too, so it's an instant picnic once you grab it to go. Hehe.

Top pick: chicken. Surprise dark horse: jambon

I'm losing it. My top pick was............. chicken. It's probably the most familiar-tasting sandwich, honestly, but never a simple flavor. I figured my parents would like it too, so I bought chicken for them. And really, unexpectedly... the jambon I wasn't expecting much from turned out to be insanely good. My mom and dad said they ate it super happily too.

It's not too heavy or overly intense but still filling enough, so it works well as a brunch option, and it's also good for a light bite between lunch and dinner when you're a bit hungry. It pairs well with coffee too, so personally I'd recommend getting a sandwich along with your drink rather than ordering a drink alone!!

When you go somewhere just for the pretty space and the menu turns out to be delicious too, it makes you extra happy, and Saechamcoffee was exactly that kind of place. Good to visit when you want both café aesthetics and a simple but tasty menu at the same time.
