Truffle jambon-beurre brunch set with dog seating: Anyang café

I stopped by Anyang not long ago for my kid's hospital appointment, and afterward went looking for somewhere nearby to grab brunch and coffee. That's how I ended up at Saechamcoffee (새참커피), which people rave about as one of the best brunch cafés near Anyang Station!

The name is cute, haha — it's a café on Anyang's Daengri-dan-gil, and it exceeded my expectations. Calm atmosphere, solid menu, really satisfying time. Here's my honest review!

Calm wood-toned interior, and dog-friendly seating

The moment you step inside, the whole space feels cozy and calm in a wood-tone style. Warm lighting, a quietly tidy space — there's even seating set aside specifically for working alone on a laptop or reading comfortably.

And here's the detail that really impressed me! This café allows dogs, and for customers who bring their pets, there are dedicated dog cushions neatly set out. A small thing, but it shows real thoughtfulness. I went with my kids, and the atmosphere was relaxed enough that we felt totally comfortable staying a while.

Hand-drip coffee and drip bags — a place serious about coffee

Looking at the menu board, there's a whole range of hand-drip coffee options, and you can just tell — 'the owner here is genuinely serious about coffee!'

On top of that, they sell individually packaged drip bags so you can brew simple drip coffee at home or the office! Coffee lovers would really enjoy the aroma of the beans here. Would make a nice gift too, buying a few to take home.

Ordering a sandwich here is a must! True to Anyang café fame, there's a solid lineup of three: caprese basil, spicy chicken, and truffle jambon-beurre (ham and butter).

A sandwich alone runs about 11,000 won, but order it as an americano set and you get the sandwich plus coffee for 13,000–15,000 won — genuinely great value!

1. Truffle jambon-beurre sandwich set (₩11,000 solo / ₩14,000 set)

After some deliberation I went with the truffle jambon-beurre set. Inside the crispy bread there's a generous amount of savory butter and salty jambon (ham), and the subtle truffle aroma lifts the whole flavor. It wasn't too intense, so it was perfect to share with the kids.

The americano that came with it had a clean, nutty flavor that paired perfectly with the sandwich — the combination was spot on!

2. Crispy-outside, soft-inside levain cookies (yellow cheese & Oreo)

The kids wanted cookies, so I got the yellow cheese and Oreo flavors. I snuck a taste from theirs, and honestly — moist, sweet, really good! There were so many levain cookie flavors to choose from that next time I want to order one for myself and properly enjoy it with an americano, haha. The kids devoured theirs happily.

3. Sweet and cool cup bingsu (shaved ice)

Partway through, I added a cup of bingsu as a snack for the kids. It came in a hand-sized cup topped generously with nutty injeolmi (rice cake) powder, chewy rice cake, and red bean — perfect for a light, cooling treat. Sweet enough that it was an absolute hit as a kids' snack!

Final thoughts

I visited a bit early, so I got to enjoy it in a relaxed, quiet moment, but not long after, the place filled right up with customers! You could really tell it's a beloved, popular café in the neighborhood.
