This time I visited Anmin, a Korean BBQ restaurant in Seomyeon. I was looking for a place where my friends and I could chat comfortably while eating delicious pork belly and jowl meat, and I liked the clean, tidy vibe right away.
At a lot of restaurants someone has to keep an eye on the grill, which makes it hard to focus on conversation. But Anmin is a restaurant where the staff do the grilling for you, so we could eat and talk with our friends completely at ease.
I'd like to introduce this place to anyone looking for somewhere to eat with friends, or anyone checking out things to do in Busan who also wants great food and a great atmosphere. So let me show you everything from the vibe at Anmin, a Seomyeon Korean BBQ spot, to what we actually ordered!

This is Anmin, the Seomyeon Korean BBQ spot I visited for lunch with friends. While looking into things to do in Busan, I was also on the hunt for a good lunch spot, and Anmin won out since it's comfortable for a group and has a wide range of menu options.

Near the entrance of Anmin, a restaurant that grills for you, there was a well set-up waiting area where you could wait comfortably. It looked like even if there's a wait during meal times, you wouldn't feel too uncomfortable while you wait.
Inside Anmin Busan: rooms, bar table and group seating
The inside of Anmin Busan was spacious and clean, with a room-style space toward the back and a bar table on one side. Baby chairs were also available, so it looked like a place families could visit too.

Walking into this Seomyeon Korean BBQ spot, my first impression was good since the interior was bigger and cleaner than I expected. There was also a room-style space in the back that looked great for gatherings or work dinners — a good fit for when you want to chat more comfortably with your group over a meal.

There was also a bar-style table on one side, which looked good for visits of two people or a small group.

Near the counter of Anmin, a spot worth visiting in Busan, the meat was displayed attractively. It was neatly arranged, so it was fun to look at and felt fresh, which caught my eye.

Baby chairs were also available for those visiting with babies. It looked like a good place for a family meal too.
What we ordered: the whole-pig set to beef tartare
Anmin Busan has such a varied menu that we spent a while deciding what to order, and ended up picking several things. We ordered the whole-pig set, pork rind jowl meat, beef tartare over grass, white cheese fried rice, and yellow crab soybean paste stew.

There were quite a variety of side dishes too, so it was fun trying them one by one. There were also several sauces that paired well with pork belly or jowl meat, so it was nice mixing and matching based on taste.

Our whole-pig set arrived. It comes with pork belly, pork shoulder, a special cut, and pork rind together, so you can try several cuts at once.

Why a restaurant that grills for you is easier for groups
At Anmin Busan, since the staff grill the meat for you, we didn't have to keep watching the grill ourselves. It was so nice to just relax and chat with friends while they cooked everything to just the right point.

They even set the meat out nicely, which put me in a good mood before I'd even taken a bite. It was cooked to a golden brown, savory on the outside and juicy inside — it got tastier the more I chewed.

The pork rind was also grilled to a golden brown, slightly crispy on the outside while keeping that chewy texture on the inside.

Pork rind with jowl meat at Anmin Busan
As we kept eating, we got curious about the pork rind jowl meat and ordered it too. Unlike a lean cut, this one has just the right amount of fat, so it wasn't dry at all — the moist, tender texture was really appealing.

Beef tartare on grass, Anmin Busan's signature plate
The beef tartare over grass is made with fresh Korean beef top round, finely sliced and tossed with a house-made sauce and a hint of sweetness from pear, they said. The tender texture typical of beef tartare paired with the sweet pear cleaned up the palate nicely, and it was a perfect dish to share with friends.

White cheese fried rice and Hwang soybean paste stew
To finish, the white cheese fried rice we ordered had a soft, savory flavor from the cream sauce, mushrooms, and cheese coming together. The yellow crab soybean paste stew had a whole apple snail, chewy hand-pulled dough flakes (sujebi), and a whole yellow crab in it, giving the broth a deep, rich flavor.
Is Anmin Busan good for lunch with friends?
We left Anmin, the Seomyeon Korean BBQ spot, full after a hearty lunch with friends. Between the clean, upscale atmosphere, the wide tables, and the room-style space, it looked comfortable not just for a meal with friends but for visits by larger groups too.
Above all, since it's a restaurant where the staff grill the meat for you, it was a huge plus for a meal like ours where we wanted to chat with friends. They grilled everything to just the right point, so we could focus on the food instead of constantly watching the grill.
The jowl meat in particular had a nice moist, tender texture thanks to just the right amount of fat. If you're setting up a lunch with friends and also looking into things to do in Busan together, I'd recommend adding this place to your list.
It was a day of chatting with friends in a clean space and eating our fill, from pork belly and jowl meat to beef tartare and the rice dishes. Anmin, this Seomyeon Korean BBQ spot, is the kind of place I'd think of again next time I want a restaurant that grills for me.
