Seomyeon Station Korean BBQ with chestnut stone-pot rice: Anmin Busan
In short
Anmin Busan is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Bujeon-dong, Busanjin, Busan, within walking distance of Seomyeon Station, where staff grill the meat for you. The order was the half whole-pig set (450g) with premium steamed egg, jar sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) and chestnut stone-pot rice, and a staff member grilled the pork belly, pork neck and pork rind over a charcoal brazier before the meal ended with scorched rice from the stone pot. What kind of Korean BBQ restaurant is Anmin Busan?
I was searching for a hot Korean BBQ spot in Seomyeon and ended up at Anmin Busan. They bring in fresh domestic pork daily and grill it over charcoal — and it's the kind of Seomyeon place where a staff member does the grilling for you.

It's an easy walk from Seomyeon Station on the subway. It's also close to Lotte Department Store Busan Main Branch, the Jeonpo Café Street, and Jeolli-dan-gil, so it's a great spot to set as a meeting point.
Clean, upscale exterior!
Inside Anmin Busan: atmosphere and seating
There's a spacious waiting area right when you walk in, so even if there's a wait, you can sit comfortably.
Unlike the smoke and hustle typical of Korean BBQ restaurants, the ventilation system here runs cleanly, keeping the place pleasant.

Tables are spaced generously, making it comfortable for a Seomyeon date spot or a small Busan gathering.

There's also group seating in the back, perfect for a Seomyeon work dinner or family outing.
They have high chairs too, so it seems like a good place to visit with a baby!
What's on the menu at Anmin Busan?
You can see the meat with your own eyes before ordering, which is nice for confirming freshness right away.

The menu offers whole-pig sets that let you enjoy various cuts, plus fresh individual cuts like pork neck and pork belly. There are also distinctive meal items that pair well with meat, like premium steamed egg, jar sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), and chestnut-loaded stone-pot rice. With a wide range of drinks too — highballs, cocktails, traditional liquor — it's a solid combination of a hearty meal and drinks, making it a good Seomyeon Station bar-restaurant.

The water was cold and tasty too!

Side dishes served with the meal
There's a nice variety of side dishes, and they come with explanations ahead of time — knowing what you're eating somehow makes it taste even better!

From wrap vegetables to seasonal pickles that cut through the richness of the meat, crunchy fresh kimchi, white kimchi, and even fresh wasabi and premium salt to enhance the meat's flavor — the table is fully loaded from the side dishes alone.
Half whole-pig set (450g), grilled for you by the staff
Whole-pig half set (450g) + premium steamed egg + jar sundubu jjigae + chestnut stone-pot rice.

Freshness you can see with your own eyes.
The steamed egg is soft and delicious too.
A staff member grills the meat deliciously for you, so it's easy to just relax and chat while waiting.
Turning golden brown and delicious.

The whole-pig half set (450g) stands out for its fresh, bright-red flesh and tight marbling.

Once it's grilled, they leave it arranged for easy eating!
Well-aged pork belly and pork neck are served in thick cuts. The staff member grills them skillfully over a strong charcoal fire, crisp on the outside and moist inside, so there's no loss of juiciness at all.

I tried the first bite dipped lightly in just salt, and the savory juices that burst out as soon as I bit into it, along with the subtle charcoal aroma, were excellent! The balance of fat and lean meat made for a great chew too. I also tried it dipped in the cheese fondue sauce, and the combination was great!
The pork neck is moist and tender too.
The pork rind is chewy too — dipping it thoroughly in curry powder makes it perfect.
Jar sundubu jjigae and chestnut stone-pot rice
To finish, I ordered the jar sundubu jjigae and stone-pot rice — the meat here is great, but the meal items are perfect too!! The jar sundubu jjigae has generous chunks of soft tofu, and it's characterized by a spicy yet deep, rich broth. There's meat in it too, so it satisfies both as a drinking snack and as a side to rice.

The stone-pot rice is made fresh the moment you order it. True to its name, the chestnut-loaded stone-pot rice is packed generously with chestnuts, and the rice has that wonderful texture — fluffy yet with a good stickiness.
After scooping out the rice, you can pour in water to make scorched rice tea, which makes for a hearty finish to the meal. Overall, a meal that feels full of care!

Is Anmin Busan worth it? Final verdict
Anmin Busan impressed with the freshness and aging of the meat, the grilling service, and the food quality overall. Beyond the excellent texture of the whole-pig set, the stone-pot rice and sundubu jjigae side dishes were both highly finished, making for a meal that felt like being properly taken care of. With reliable location, atmosphere, and taste, it's a great choice if you're looking for a Seomyeon pork belly restaurant or a spot for a gathering or company dinner.
