Boiled pork with soju and lettuce wrap refills at Busan Station

In short

Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a Korean restaurant in Dong-gu, Busan, right in front of Busan Station. After a short wait past lunchtime, the writer ordered suyuk baekban (boiled pork with rice), a clear, richly flavored pork soup, thick tender slices of boiled pork, and refilled vegetable wraps with a glass of soju on the side. With table kiosks for ordering and a fast turnover, it's a solid first stop right after arriving at Busan Station.

A pork soup spot in front of Busan Station — how long is the lunch wait?

I visited Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap, a well-known Busan Station restaurant right in front of the station 🤩

Entrance of Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap in front of Busan Station

Since it's such a popular Busan Station spot, waiting in line is basically required 😙 But the taste makes it worth it, so if you're ever in Busan, you really should try it haha

Line of customers waiting outside during lunch hour

The inside was spacious and clean, and even though I came a bit past lunchtime, it was packed with people?😳 It was almost full, so I barely managed to get a seat haha. Lucky me~~👍

Spacious, clean interior and seating area

They also have baby chairs available~👶

At the table, several kinds of sauces were neatly set out~👏

Table kiosk ordering and the menu

There's a kiosk at every table, so it's really convenient to order and pay~💯

Ordering kiosk placed at every table

Here's the menu board~~🤤 Since gukbap (soup with rice) and milmyeon (chilled wheat noodles) are the mains, I noticed people around me ordering all sorts of combinations! We went with the suyuk baekban 😙🩷

After a short wait, they bring out the side dishes! Simple but exactly the right kind of tasty, and they seemed like they'd go perfectly with the suyuk baekban 🥳

Suyuk baekban: from the clear broth to the dadaegi sauce

Wow!! The suyuk baekban finally arrived haha. Maybe because turnover is fast, it came out faster than I expected — I was surprised. Doesn't it already look delicious~?🤭

Bowl of clear pork soup

When you first taste the pork soup broth, it's rich even without adding any seasoning — totally my type!! You can enjoy the clear broth on its own, then add dadaegi (spicy chili paste) for the perfect combo~😆

Plate of thickly sliced boiled pork

The meat was thick and tender — so good!!! I was surprised at how thick and generous the portion was. It had every texture you'd want — springy, chewy, tender, it's hard to capture in a photo 🥹 At first, just dip it in the sauce that comes with it and taste it on its own!! No gamey smell at all, and it was so good ✌️🤩

The vegetable wrap refill combo

And now, on to the next combination!

  • Vegetable wrap + kimchi + a slice of boiled pork + garlic
  • Onion + ssamjang (dipping paste) + a slice of boiled pork + a spoonful of rice

Eating it this way is seriously.. so good 👍 It was so good that I refilled the vegetable wraps more 🤭

A glass of soju paired with pork wraps

The broth was deep and tasty, and with a bite of tender pork, I found myself craving a glass of soju to go with such delicious food haha. Had my first daytime drink in a while haha 😋

To sum up

I visited Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap near Busan Station~~🩵 It's clearly a popular spot because there were so many people, which honestly made me want to try it even more ✨ Still, turnover was fast and the food came out quickly, so overall I was satisfied! When I eat pork soup, that very first sip without any seasoning added really matters to me — and here, even unseasoned, the broth was deep and rich, going down so smoothly~!! I kept being amazed the whole time I ate 🤭🥹🥰

The boiled pork was tender and chewy with no gamey smell, and it went great whether eaten in a wrap or together with vegetables and rice 💯❤️😳 I'm getting hungry again just writing this haha. If you're visiting Busan, once you arrive at Busan Station, you really should stop by!!~👏 Highly recommend 💯
