Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is right next to Busan Station! It's on the 2nd floor of the building, making it a perfectly convenient spot for lunch before or after your trip.

If you're driving, the restaurant itself doesn't offer parking validation, but the building has spacious parking across basement levels 1 to 3, so you don't need to worry about finding a spot. Parking is ₩3,000 for the first 30 minutes, with ₩1,000 added for every 10 minutes after that — worth keeping in mind.

After parking, you can take the elevator or escalator in the building straight up to the 2nd floor. Thanks to the step-free elevator route, moving a stroller for a young child or a wheelchair for an elderly parent is really smooth. And since this is such a popular spot near Busan Station, a lot of guests come dragging big travel suitcases — with no thresholds and wide walkways, it was a perfect environment for coming in comfortably even with a lot of luggage and enjoying a meal.

Walking inside, one whole wall is a huge floor-to-ceiling window, which gives an immediate sense of openness the moment you step in. There's no stuffy feeling at all — it's a refreshing atmosphere where you can eat while looking out the window.

What I liked most was how widely spaced the tables were! It was really comfortable to chat and eat without bumping into the people next to you. Plus, the tables themselves are wide and long, so even with milmyeon, dwaeji gukbap, and a side dish all laid out, there was plenty of room and nothing felt cramped.

Ordering is also done via an individual kiosk installed at each table, so you don't have to wait around for staff — just tap through the menu with your finger and your order is placed instantly. Very convenient.

The menu and what we ordered

Looking at the menu, Busan's signature specialties are all well represented. The main dishes are mul milmyeon, bibim milmyeon, dwaeji gukbap, and sundae gukbap, plus warm hand-made mandu (dumplings) as a side. To try a variety of both broths and noodles, we ordered one large mul milmyeon, one dwaeji gukbap, and one sundae gukbap. With a cool breeze starting to blow, hot soup sounded really appealing!

How did the large mul milmyeon, dwaeji gukbap, and sundae gukbap taste?

We didn't wait long before steaming, rich soups and the large mul milmyeon topped with slushy ice were set on the table. Thanks to the big table, the side dishes and main dishes were all neatly arranged.

Icy large mul milmyeon

First, to cool off, I tried the large mul milmyeon — the tanginess and deep savory flavor of the slushy-ice broth filled my mouth. Being the large size, the noodle portion was really generous, plenty for several adults to share. The chewy, house-made-style noodles were well coated in the sweet-and-tangy broth, giving a refreshing taste that washed away both the heat and travel fatigue in one go. It's still hot enough during the day for outdoor activities to wear you out!

Dwaeji gukbap, great for mixing into a kid's rice bowl

Next up was the dwaeji gukbap — a rich, milky-white bone broth with no off smell at all. The pork inside had a good balance of lean meat and fat, tender and soft, making it truly ideal for mixing into a child's bowl of rice. Pouring the broth over a bowl of rice and eating it with kimchi felt warming and deeply satisfying. And by the way, the kimchi here is excellent!!

Sundae gukbap

The sundae gukbap (blood sausage soup) we ordered alongside also had plump, generously stuffed sundae and a good amount of meat, giving a really varied texture to chew through. The broth wasn't overly strong or spicy but had a rich depth, so I scraped up every last spoonful. It was the best combination — enjoying the refreshing coolness of the noodles and the warm heartiness of the soup at the same time.
