In short
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi Direct Branch is a beef gopchang (grilled beef intestines) restaurant in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul, with the relaxed feel of an old-school neighborhood spot. On this return visit the order was two servings of gopchang and one of daechang (large intestine), plus anchovy noodles and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice, rounded out with house-made kimchi and a complimentary steamed egg. Returning to Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang in Bangi-dong
There are a few places that come to mind whenever I want gopchang (grilled beef intestines) in Bangi-dong, and this time I went back to Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang. I remembered enjoying it before, so it had been a while since my last visit and I finally returned haha.

Here, you have to order the anchovy noodle feast ❤️

Bangi-dong has so many gopchang restaurants that it's hard to decide where to go, but Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang is popular enough that there's sometimes a wait. It's one of the first places that comes to mind for gopchang in Bangi-dong, so I made sure to revisit!!

It's even been on TV and is already well known as a good-value beef gopchang spot in Bangi-dong!
Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Bangi, full of old-school charm

Rather than a trendy modern vibe, the space felt cozy and nostalgic, like an old-school joint. Gopchang and a shot of soju in a setting like this just tastes even better, you know what I mean lol. It's a great spot for a relaxed dinner with a friend, or a light drink after work.
Good-value beef gopchang in Bangi-dong

What we ordered: gopchang, daechang and sides
That day we ordered two servings of gopchang and one of daechang (grilled beef large intestines). There are just two sides here — kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice and anchovy noodles — so we ordered both! Prices aren't too heavy, so it's easy to come with a group, share gopchang and daechang, and add the sides too. Recommended if you're looking for a good-value gopchang restaurant in Bangi-dong!

The head chef's confidence is no joke lol. And that confidence is backed up by the taste!!!!

Whole daechang and whole gopchang come out, and staff cut them with scissors for you! Three kinds of house-made kimchi come out too, and the scallion kimchi gets grilled together with the gopchang lol.

Once the gopchang and daechang hit the grill along with chives and vegetables, that savory smell started drifting up. Just watching everything turn golden brown made me want to dig in immediately 😍

They set a timer to flip the gopchang at just the right moment~!!

The complimentary steamed egg was surprisingly tasty too lol. With warm, soft steamed egg on the side, we started tearing into the gopchang 🙋🏻♀️

Gopchang with house-made kimchi and minari garlic sauce
The gopchang turned golden brown on the outside with a chewy texture and savory flavor, while the daechang had that distinct rich, fatty taste. Gopchang alone can feel a bit greasy, but pairing it with vegetables or kimchi made it much cleaner to eat.

The standout sauce here is the minari (water dropwort) garlic sauce — put a well-grilled piece of gopchang in it and there's no greasiness at all, just a savory richness haha.

The kimchi grilling alongside was cooking up nicely too~ And honestly, the house-made kimchi here was something I remembered well!

Eating well-fermented kimchi together with the gopchang added a tangy, crunchy note amid the savory flavors, and they went great together. If you like kimchi with your gopchang, I definitely recommend this combo haha.
Why the anchovy noodles are a must-order

For sides, we ordered anchovy noodles and kkakdugi fried rice. Personally, I really think you should try the anchovy noodles here. The warm, clean anchovy broth went really well with the savory taste of the gopchang.

Being able to enjoy warm noodles alongside the gopchang and daechang made the menu lineup feel really satisfying!!!

Eat a piece of gopchang, then take a spoonful of the anchovy noodle broth, and your mouth feels refreshed enough to go right back to the gopchang — it's a great combo. The noodles were easy to slurp down too, so I kept reaching for more. If I had to pick just one side at a gopchang restaurant, I'd recommend the anchovy noodles ☀️

Finishing with kkakdugi fried rice
At the end, we also ordered the kkakdugi fried rice. This fried rice isn't cooked right on the gopchang pan — it comes fully prepared from the kitchen, so all you do is mix it up~~~!!

After eating a good amount of gopchang, finishing with fried rice felt satisfying, and the kkakdugi gave it a slightly spicy, crunchy texture. With gim (seaweed flakes) and egg mixed in, my spoon kept moving even when I was already full lol.

Cleaned this one up completely too lol. Since I'd already been once before and came back again, I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving gopchang in Bangi-dong!!! I'll especially be ordering the anchovy noodles again for sure.
Is Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang worth a second visit?

If you're looking for a beef gopchang restaurant in Bangi-dong with a relaxed, old-school atmosphere, this is a place I'd recommend. With house-made kimchi, complimentary steamed egg, and genuinely tasty gopchang, there's a clear reason to come back after one visit.
Above all, Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang felt like a comfortable, unpretentious place to enjoy gopchang in Bangi-dong. Rather than a flashy vibe, it has that easygoing feel unique to a long-running gopchang restaurant, and if you want to enjoy gopchang and daechang over a relaxed drink whenever the craving hits in Bangi-dong, it's worth keeping in mind. Add the side dishes too if you want a good-value full meal.
