The first thing I loved when I actually visited Jinsim King Donkatsu Pyeongdong Branch was just how spacious the parking lot was.

When you're out with a baby, you already have to unbuckle the car seat and manage the stroller and bags, so just having plenty of parking space makes everything easier, haha. No circling around looking for a spot — one less thing to worry about before we even sat down to eat.

Walking into Jinsim King Donkatsu Pyeongdong Branch, the interior was spacious and clean. The tables in particular had generous spacing, so I could wheel the stroller straight in and park it beside our table without it getting in anyone's way, haha. What stuck with me most was being able to freely refill the soup. Wrapping donkatsu in lettuce felt a little unusual at first, but once I tried it, it worked surprisingly well, haha.

One bite in, it was crispy and delicious. I also tried piling it onto lettuce from the self-serve bar and eating it as a wrap. The crunchy lettuce cut through the richness of the fried cutlet, and honestly I liked eating it this way even more, haha. For the baby, I tore off a small piece of the plain cutlet without any sauce, and she ate it well. Jjolmyeon: tangy, spicy and sweet noodles that pair with the donkatsu

The jjolmyeon portion was also quite generous. It had a tangy, spicy, and sweet flavor all at once, and the spice level wasn't overwhelming, so I found it easy to enjoy, haha. What I liked most was the generous amount of vegetables, which added a nice crunchy texture.

Alternating bites of donkatsu and jjolmyeon was great, but I also tried piling the jjolmyeon right on top of the donkatsu and eating them together, haha. The crispy cutlet and the tangy-spicy noodles matched better than I expected, haha. It cut through the richness that can build up from eating donkatsu alone, and I was glad we ordered both dishes together.
