Looking for a good pork BBQ spot near Geomdan Sageori, I ended up at Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch, a restaurant specializing in Korean pork. I visited on a Monday evening and the dining room was already full of families and after-work groups.
This place comes up often when people talk about pork belly near Geomdan Sageori, and it's known as a Geomdan restaurant with generous free sides, so I was curious what would land on the table.
This time I ordered the large assorted hanwoo pork platter (600g) and dessert mul-naengmyeon (cold noodles). I've laid out the restaurant info, menu, what I ordered, and some visit tips below.
Where is Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch, and is there parking?
Taedon Geomdan Sageori Branch is easy to find, sitting right on the main road within walking distance of Geomdan Sageori Station Exit 2. There's a free dedicated parking lot behind the building, so driving there is no hassle either.
Since the new Geomdan district was created, the map address changed from Seo-gu to Geomdan-gu, but the receipt still showed the old Seo-gu address.
Inside Taedon: does it work for family meals and group dinners?
Taedon sits on the main road toward Geomdan Sageori Station Exit 2.
The big Taedon sign was easy to spot outside, and the dining room inside felt comfortable with plenty of space between tables.
With highchairs and group seating both available, it looked like a good option for a family meal out or a work dinner. Naver Reservation is split into slots for 2–8 people and groups of 8 or more.

Taedon's menu covers Korean pork belly, cold pork belly, and kimchi jjigae sets. The most popular items were cold pork belly, antibiotic-free pork belly, and the cold pork belly + kimchi jjigae + rice set, in that order.

What we ordered and why the bill came to ₩70,000
On this visit, the assorted hanwoo pork large platter (600g), one bottle each of Saero soju and Terra beer, and a dessert mul-naengmyeon came to ₩70,000 total.
We also got a generous spread of free sides — jjolmyeon, steamed egg, flat mandu, and mixed mushrooms — plus a closing ice cream.
How the 600g assorted Handon pork platter tasted
The main dish, the assorted hanwoo pork large platter, came with several cuts on one plate, so it was fun comparing the texture of each one as we grilled. We just went with the meat-only option when ordering.
A savory smell rose up as each piece grilled. We browned it on the pan and dipped it alternately in Dubai chewy ssamjang and salt — no gamy taste, just savory flavor. True to the sign saying they use antibiotic-free Korean pork, the juiciness held up well too.
Four free sides that come with every meat order at Taedon
When you order meat at Taedon, you get jjolmyeon (chewy noodles), steamed egg in a stone pot, Daegu Seomun Market-style flat mandu, and mixed mushrooms as free sides.
The sweet-and-tangy jjolmyeon was good both with the meat and with the flat mandu. The steamed egg was hot and ready to eat first while the meat was still grilling.
The flat mandu, eaten together with grilled bracken fern and radish salad, made for a hearty bite.
Dipping the meat into the crispy, savory handmade Dubai chewy ssamjang — made with kadayif — added a rich, deep flavor.
₩6,000 dessert mul-naengmyeon and the ice cream finish
We had one bottle each of Saero soju and Terra beer alongside. The dessert mul-naengmyeon (₩6,000) we ordered to finish was a great palate cleanser after the rich meat, and thanks to a review event we also got a closing ice cream.
Is Taedon in Geomdan worth a visit?
This was a good spot for anyone hunting for pork belly near Geomdan Sageori, or families and groups who need a Geomdan restaurant with parking.
Meat, free sides, and dessert noodles were all handled in one visit, and I get why customers kept coming in steadily even on a weekday evening.
Next time I'd like to try the No. 1 popular item, cold pork belly, and the lunch special kimchi jjigae set.
