Parking at Geomdan Taedon was possible right behind the building, and there was also a large dedicated lot across the back of the building — convenient and free.

So many free extras and events — but the standout for me was the Dubai chewy ssamjang. Turns out it's a house-made ssamjang with kadayif (shredded pastry) mixed in, and I was surprised how well the kadayif worked with the sauce.

The free jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) came in a hefty portion and tasted great.

With the large mixed pork platter and the free vegetables all laid out, the table looked completely full.

On the well-heated grill, they gave us lard along with kimchi, seasoned radish, and bracken fern, which made everything even more savory.

The cuts were just the right thickness for grilling, so it was easy to cook it ourselves and still get great results.

Adding cheonggukjang for 5,000 won: enough for a full bowl of rice

At Taedon, adding just ₩5,000 to a platter order gets you this appetizing bowl of cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew).

It came with a whole block of tofu and plenty of other ingredients, so a bowl of rice was gone in no time.

Non-alcoholic Jeju Nouveau beer at Taedon

I've been into non-alcoholic beer lately, and it seems like more restaurants carry it these days. Taedon in particular had Jeju Nouveau beer, so I ordered it right away. It was my first time trying it, and I thought it captured that distinctive Jeju beer aroma really well — quite enjoyable.

The meat was tasty plain, and just as good piled high with Dubai chewy ssamjang. The free napjjak mandu paired nicely with the jjolmyeon.
