Mango tower cake mini, 39,000 won: just right for 3 people

The cake I bought was Sijeunikeu's mango tower cake (mini). Price: ₩39,000. Since we were 3 people, I picked the mini size, and the portion was just right! There's so much mango that after finishing it, I was actually full...

There are literally 3 whole mangoes on top. A visual that simply cannot taste bad,,💛 The mini size is also budget-friendly at ₩39,000. Sometimes a big whole cake is too much to finish at once, right? This size is just right for that. Especially if it's not a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary that needs a big cake, this is a great light dessert to set the mood✨

Peach or mango, and how does Sijeunikeu pack cakes to go?

It's peach season right now so I agonized a lot 🥹 But I'm such a huge mango lover that I ended up choosing mango lol

Since I was going to eat it right after pickup, I got basic packaging only and bought it in a hurry. Even though it was crowded, the staff were super fast and packed it up quickly. If you need an insulated bag, you can buy one separately! Basic packaging comes with one ice pack.

Why Sijeunikeu's whipped cream doesn't taste heavy

Sijeunikeu says they select only the two best fruits of each season. Made and sold same-day! 100% dairy cream — ah, no wonder even the cream alone tasted so good. I really don't usually like whipped cream cakes, but the cream here wasn't heavy at all, it was soft, and I could've eaten spoonfuls of just the cream.

Even from a distance the visuals hit hard. The exterior is really clean and sleek too. Everything's displayed so nicely that it's pretty just to look at.

How to find Sijeunikeu in Shinsegae Centum City

It's on Shinsegae's basement floor, right across from Starbucks, so it's easy to find. If you're passing by, I'd recommend picking one up to try at least once. Next time a new seasonal fruit menu comes out, I want to try that too. I hope winter comes soon lol, that way I can eat the strawberry cake!!!!🍓❤️

How the mango cake tasted as dessert after a meal with my parents

I had Sijeunikeu's mango tower cake as dessert after a meal, and my parents loved it too, saying it was so delicious💓 It's not just the mango on top — there's mango inside the cake too, so I could get cream and mango together in one bite. The cream was well-balanced, not too sweet, and best of all, being a cake where mango is the star, the fruit flavor wasn't buried at all.

It's delicious on its own, but next time I'd like to try it with coffee ☕️ Since the mango cake itself is on the sweeter side, pairing it with something clean and bitter like an Americano seems like it would balance the sweetness nicely.
