Window-seat date spot near Yesulhoegwan Station: Haemokjeong Guwol
In short
Haemokjeong Guwol Branch is a braised ribs and angler fish stew restaurant in Namdong, Incheon, located across from Exit 6 of Yesulhoegwan Station. After a movie, we grabbed a window seat, ordered spicy braised ribs for two on medium spice, and finished with self-serve fried rice topped with snow cheese. The pork ribs were tender, not tough, with sauce soaked all the way through — a solid choice for a date meal.

I went to see a movie for the first time in a while and got a craving for spicy braised ribs, so I headed to Haemokjeong. There are several branches, but I was able to visit the Guwol branch right in front of Yesulhoegwan Station. It's popular not just for braised ribs but also for fresh seafood, and the tables are big enough for a group — let me introduce this Guwol-dong angler fish stew and braised ribs restaurant~ ^^

Right from the entrance there's a strong beachy, refreshing vibe~ I heard wave sounds coming from somewhere and looked down to find the entrance floor done up with media art depicting a beach. A restaurant that gives you a good feeling from the very first impression.

Interior atmosphere, window seats, and group seating
The interior is clean with plenty of tables, so we could eat comfortably without feeling cramped. True to being an Incheon angler fish stew and braised ribs restaurant, a spicy aroma drifted through the air~

On one side there's also a relatively private space. If you're dining with a group, it seems like a good idea to book the group seating in advance.
I got lucky and was seated by the window. From there you could even see the sunset in the distance.
Menu — tablet ordering, single or double portions available
The Haemokjeong menu was easy to order from a tablet. True to a Guwol-dong angler fish stew and braised ribs restaurant, there was a wide variety of braised dishes to choose from, plus set menus if you want to eat heartily.

There are also single- and double-portion menus, so it worked well for a date after a long time. I ordered the braised pork ribs, and you could even choose the spice level.
There's also fried rice add-ons and a variety of meal options, making it a good Guwol-dong spot for a meal with drinks too.

Spicy braised ribs for two, medium spice — how was it?
The side dishes came out neat and clean~ Especially the seaweed soup, which was served generously! It's great for cooling your palate between bites of spicy ribs, and tasty enough to eat on its own.

There were also refreshing side dishes that paired well with the spicy food.

Spicy braised ribs (for two)
Wow~ even at first glance the spicy braised ribs looked absolutely delicious. It comes out already stir-fried in sauce with pork ribs, rice cakes, and various vegetables, and I liked that it's ready to eat right away~

I chose medium spice, and it had just the right amount of kick for a proper meal. The pork ribs were really tender, not tough at all, with the sauce fully soaked in. Totally my style~!!! The more you eat, the more it makes you want a drink!

Minari (water dropwort) came as a garnish too, which went well with the braised pork ribs. Perilla leaves and kimchi were also served for wrapping, so there were even more ways to enjoy it.

If you order the seafood stew, you can dip the seafood in vinegared red pepper paste or soy sauce. Next time I'll definitely have to try the seafood stew~
Finishing with self-serve fried rice + snow cheese
Finally, time to finish with fried rice! The self-serve fried rice with snow cheese set was available at a slightly discounted price.

The portion of fried rice was generous, so it seems like a good idea for two people to share one order.

If there's too much sauce it can get salty, so we mixed it evenly with just the right amount of leftover sauce. Then you top it with the white snow cheese — and the amount of cheese was piled up generously~

And with that, the delicious fried rice was complete! Eating the fried rice with all that stretchy melted cheese, there was no way it could taste bad. Highly recommend the tasty braised pork ribs at this Guwol-dong angler fish stew and braised ribs restaurant! Book ahead at Haemokjeong Guwol Branch and enjoy a good meal~ ^^
