Spicy hot pot pork cutlet before LG Arts Center show: Tteudon Magok

This time I went to Tteudon, a Magok Station pork cutlet spot, before catching a show at LG Arts Center in Magok. And oh my goodness,,,, the cutlet menu was dazzling, the food was genuinely delicious, and the self-bar was completely loaded!! My friend and I came out totally floored.

A restaurant with no break time, so you can always eat, and there's even a discount at lunch. The cutlets and meals are great, but then there's tteokbokki, bread, soup, and broth at the self-bar too. How could you not love this place?!

Where is Tteudon Magok Branch, and what are the hours and parking?

Tteudon Magok Branch is right in one of the buildings just in front of Exit 4 of Magok Station. It's on the 2nd floor of the Magok Queens Park Tower 12 building.

Get off the elevator on the 2nd floor and it's to your right! Hours are 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, running with no break time, and last order is at 8:30 PM. It's open every day with no closed days. On weekdays for lunch, 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM, there's also a 1,000-won discount on pork cutlets haha.

For parking, come around to the back rather than the main road side. Free parking is available :)

Inside Tteudon Magok Branch: seating for solo diners and groups

The inside of Tteudon Magok Branch is spacious with plenty of seats. There are several 2-person tables, so it's good for solo dining, and you can push tables together for groups of office workers too. I visited around noon and it was already fully packed once. When I left around 1 PM it was full again — this is genuinely a popular Magok Station pork cutlet spot hahaha.

What's on the menu at Tteudon Magok Branch?

Here's the Tteudon Magok Branch menu and prices! Of course there are cutlets, but also rice bowls, udon, pasta, and even buckwheat noodles — such a variety! On top of that, there are unique items like salad cutlet, buldak (fire chicken) cutlet, and hot pot cutlet, which made it even better haha.

What's at the free self-bar?

The self-bar at Tteudon Magok Branch has soup, udon broth, tteokbokki (spicy stir-fried rice cakes), dinner rolls with strawberry jam, and even three side dishes — pickles, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and danmuji (pickled radish). Such a generous self-bar, I loved it!

Even just from a trip to the self-bar before the food arrived, our table was already loaded haha. Whenever I eat Western-style pork cutlet I like having plenty of soup, so having it self-serve like this is amazing♥

How do the hot pot pork cutlet and sweet potato cheese cutlet taste?

Our order arrived. We balanced things with a spicy, tangy hot pot cutlet and a sweet, savory sweet potato cheese cutlet for that sweet-and-salty combo, and it was an excellent choice haha.

From the visual with the sweet potato mousse piled on top!! to its plump, chubby shape, this sweet potato cheese cutlet is impossible not to love...!

It's loaded with cheese so it stretches beautifully. The cutlet is crispy and delicious, the sweet sauce pairs so well with the sweet potato, and even the vegetable salad and corn salad that came with it were all so, so good♥ Highly recommend the sweet potato cheese cutlet at Tteudon!!

You can even make your own cutlet burger using the dinner rolls and strawberry jam from the self-bar — the cutlet, cutlet sauce, two kinds of salad, garlic dressing, and the sweetness of the strawberry jam all come together into a real specialty haha.

This is the spicy, tangy hot pot cutlet, served bubbling in a stone pot. It's a heat you clearly recognize, but paired with a piping-hot seasoned broth I'd never had before, with a crispy cutlet plopped right in the middle.

With the spicy seasoning, a thick cutlet, and a generous layer of cheese on top, it's good even for people who can't handle sweet or overly rich food — and if you're ordering multiple dishes to share like we did, definitely try the spicy hot pot cutlet!!

Is Tteudon Magok Branch good with kids?

If you're heading here like we did before a show, or when visiting Seoul Botanic Park, it's a great spot to bring kids too. Pork cutlet is a dish kids love, and it's a soul food for dads too haha!

There's a small kids' room prepared, so kids can eat and play afterward. Baby chairs are of course available too.

They've thoughtfully prepared kids' dishware along with forks and spoons too.

Even ice cream is prepared for dessert, which both kids and adults love!

Walking out with an ice cream after eating cutlet made me feel like a kid again, and it was such a good mood haha.
