Today I visited Oseuseu, a place I found while looking for a Western restaurant with good vibes in Pocheon! With everything from pasta to steak on the menu, there was a lot of fun in picking what to order. The clean, comfortable atmosphere was a plus too — let me introduce this Pocheon Western restaurant now :)

Where is Oseuseu, and what are the hours?

Oseuseu is a Western restaurant located at 33 Wangbang-ro 118beon-gil, 1st floor, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It's open weekdays 11:30–21:00 with a break time from 15:00 to 16:30, and parking is available. Their signature dishes include grilled napa cabbage salad, red shrimp pasta, and flap steak.

What is the dining room at Oseuseu like?

The interior of Oseuseu felt clean yet warm, making it comfortable to sit down and eat!

Overall it had a calm, cozy feel — a space that works well for dates and family meals, but also for a relaxed dinner with friends :)

How busy is Oseuseu on a weekend evening?

We visited on a weekend evening, and as expected it was crowded, giving the whole place a lively energy. Everything was well kept and clean, and there were lots of families, couples, and groups of friends dining together. Weekend evenings tend to draw a lot of visitors, so if you want a relaxed meal, it might be worth checking the timing before you go :)

Ordering at Oseuseu: write it out on paper

At Oseuseu you write your order on a slip of paper and hand it to the owner. Honestly, ordering by writing it out like this is kind of my thing haha.

The table setting was really neatly done too. It felt like being properly taken care of ♡

What's on the Oseuseu menu?

Looking over the menu, there was a wide range of Western dishes ready to go — pasta, risotto, steak, and more.

Beyond the mains, there were plenty of salads and side dishes too, so it was easy to pick something to suit your taste! The lineup was substantial enough that ordering several dishes to share made sense, so we went with the signature set to split. Since four of us thought that might not be quite enough, we added a risotto on top.

You can't have Western food without cola, right? We ordered two zero-sugar colas and one regular cola to share.

Grilled napa cabbage salad and red shrimp cream pasta

The grilled napa cabbage salad and red shrimp cream pasta came out first. The look of them alone was mouth-watering.

The grilled napa cabbage salad had a nutty flavor from the cabbage being grilled to a nice golden brown. The crisp yet tender texture was appealing, and the mild cabbage paired well with the sauce, making it easy to eat without feeling heavy.

It was the perfect appetizer to whet the appetite.

The red shrimp cream pasta was delicious, with plump red shrimp packed into a rich, smooth cream sauce. The cream sauce was thick without being heavy, and it clung well to the noodles, so it was tasty right to the last bite. The added flavor from the shrimp made it a really satisfying dish!!

Chop steak and spicy chicken risotto

The chop steak had tender meat that paired nicely with the sauce for great depth of flavor. It came in bite-sized pieces that were easy to eat, and it was even better paired with the vegetables (^^)d

The spicy chicken risotto had a spicy sauce and soft rice that worked well together to whet the appetite. It was hearty with plenty of chicken, and the spiciness kept it from feeling greasy. That said, it wasn't overwhelmingly spicy either — the balance was just right haha.

Is the signature set enough for four people?

Overall, both the taste and the lineup of the meal were satisfying ♡♡ The variety on the menu made it fun to enjoy several dishes at once (ordering the signature set was a masterstroke). With choices ranging from salad to pasta, risotto, and steak, we could order to suit our tastes, and it was also great for a group to share dishes. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a Western restaurant with good atmosphere in Pocheon.
