Eunpyeong resin studio in Seoul: 25,000-won gel ring class, Uni Resin
In short
Uni Resin (유니레진) is a one-day resin art studio in Eungam-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. The 25,000-won-per-person gel ring class at Uni Resin covered ring sizing, mixing wax colors and decorating with parts, with the owner demonstrating each step, and a hairpin was made alongside the rings. There is no limit on how many parts you use, and the session ended with two rings and one hairpin — one of the more relaxing things to do in Seoul away from the usual attractions.

Let me write up my little healing session at this Eunpyeong date-spot studio ~ haha
The time I spent in this cozy little space was so, so happy and worthwhile .. ♥

Where is Uni Resin, and how do you get there from Saejeol Station?
Unieresin is a resin art studio in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, at 응암로20길 12-1 1층, Eungam-dong. It's a bit of a walk from Saejeol Station, so I took the bus.
Neither Saejeol Station nor Eungam-dong are neighborhoods I know well, and it's a bit of a trek, but I went with zero expectations and came back having had real healing at this resin studio.

Inside the cozy studio there's a shared table, and that's where the class runs under the owner's careful guidance.

The owner also runs a Smart Store, so I got to browse tons of cute keyrings. There are so many things you can make with resin ~ ~
What the 25,000-won gel ring class includes, hairpin and all
Unieresin runs several resin classes. I agonized between mini cups, mirrors, and more, and ended up going with the gel ring.
The gel ring class was ,, pure healing, honestly.

A nice surprise you only find out once you're there! The class is listed as a ₩25,000 gel ring class, but it's actually gel ring + hairpin. The hour flies by so fast, you really have to work quick!! haha

Step one: measuring your ring size
First you measure your ring size!! Using the same ring gauge you'd find at a jewelry shop, the owner tapes the sizer so it's easier to work with.

Just like this!! Making a ring myself, sized exactly to fit me, was such an exciting process ~!

While that's happening, you get to plan your design and browse the cute parts, letting your imagination run wild ~ hoho

There was this super cute kitty piece — I wanted to put it on the ring or pin, but somehow never got around to it, so sad ㅠㅠ
This Eunpyeong date-spot studio really does have a ton of adorable parts to choose from!!
Kneading the wax and mixing your own colors
The wax is hard at first, but as you knead it with your hands it softens up nicely for shaping. This part was surprisingly fun — kind of like playing with a stress ball, haha

Cute little wax ,, about to transform ~ I dropped it on the floor the second I got it lol ㅠㅠ but the owner just handed me a new piece right away, I felt so sorry and so grateful .. haha

You can also mix colors. I looked at the finished samples and thought about what color to go with, and since I want to be a pink princess, I picked light pink!! There's a friendly demo for every step, so this place would be great to bring kids to, and also a really nice Eunpyeong date spot!!

Add the color powder and knead it in to get the exact look you want! haha

A studio with no limit on decorative parts
The best thing about Unieresin, the Eungam-dong studio, is that there's no limit on how many parts you can use. I stuck ribbons all over my hairpin for a full balletcore concept.
Then you place them on the pin to shape everything — today's hairpin concept for me was ribbons! Stud them on for that balletcore feel.

Anyway, total balletcore vibe ,, no arguments accepted. The owner herself loves resin studios and has been to a bunch, and she said she hates it when places limit parts because it makes you overthink everything TT I've been to a lot of studios too, and I could not agree more ~~ haha

The owner of Uni Resin handles the finishing herself
Like with gel nails, the finished hairpin goes into the curing machine to bake! After that she does the gloss finish too, working it smooth by hand so there are no rough edges sticking out, haha

After the hairpin I moved on to the gel ring, and the angel of an owner gave me so much wax that it ended up being enough for two! I loaded the ring up with ribbons too and made it totally my style!
She finishes the rings with a chemical treatment and packages everything up carefully. Honestly I had zero expectations going in — I was just in the area for something else and stopped by on a whim — but it turned out to be one of the top three most enjoyable studios I've ever visited.

The finished pieces: two rings and a ribbon hairpin
What came out of my one-hour class at Unieresin: two gel rings and a ribbon hairpin. On top of that, the owner threw in an extra object decoration.
What I made today ~~ two rings and a hairpin, plus the bonus object decoration the owner provided ~ ♥

She even stuck one of those trendy turtle charms on my phone case, so I really came away with a serious dose of healing..

Is it even allowed to be this happy for ₩25,000 a person.. That's how happy I was at Unieresin, the Eungam-dong studio. I've already decided to go back, so I definitely will.

If you're looking for date ideas in Eungam-dong or want to make good memories with friends or a partner, I really recommend experiencing some solid healing at Unieresin..!
