I visited Golmokjip Galbisal Yeonsinnae Main Branch, located a 5-minute walk from Yeonsinnae Station. The location was easy to find since it's so close to the station, and the vibe of the place was relaxed and unpretentious from the start — a great pick for a casual meat night.

Banchan side dishes and the egg potato salad

Once you sit down, you get a spread of lettuce wraps, various sauces, pickled onions, kimchi, and dried radish strips. My personal favorite was the egg potato salad(?) — it was so good I kept scooping it up before the meat even arrived. Mild, nutty, and soft, it was oddly addictive. When a BBQ restaurant nails one side dish like this, it just puts me in a good mood.

The 500g beef rib platter for 65,900 won, ordered by tablet

Ordering is easy — just use the tablet at the table. First up: the 500g beef rib platter (₩65,900) and an Asahi draft beer (₩8,000)!

Not long after ordering, the charcoal arrived, and the heat was no joke. The moment the charcoal came out, I got genuinely excited to start grilling. The strong heat meant the meat cooked up perfectly in no time.

How does the galbisal (beef rib meat) taste off the charcoal?

And then the star of the show arrived: the beef rib meat (galbisal) 😋✨ The color of the meat alone looked incredible. It came with king oyster mushrooms and Korean shishito peppers, and it already looked delicious...

Grilling the meat over the charcoal until golden brown... I could tell right away the meat quality here was quite good. You could really taste the signature savory flavor of galbisal — it wasn't tough at all, tender and juicy, and the more you chewed, the richer the beef flavor came through.

And of course, no meat meal is complete without a wrap! I piled on dried radish strips, pickled onion, and a clove of garlic and wrapped it up — ugh, so good 🥹🥹🥹 The meat was so tender that the crunch from the pickled onion and radish kept me reaching for more.

Free doenjang jjigae and 5,900 won naengmyeon to finish

And here, you even get doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) as a complimentary side! Ordering meat and getting stew for free — talk about value... But this wasn't just a token bowl of stew — it was loaded with tofu, oyster mushrooms, and even meat, making it quite hearty. The stew was so good I briefly considered ordering rice, but held off to save room for the naengmyeon (cold noodles) I was planning to have for dessert..^^

After all that meat, naengmyeon is a must ..!!!😋 I ordered mul naengmyeon (water naengmyeon), and my husband ordered bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed naengmyeon). The price was easy on the wallet too — ₩5,900 each. We loaded up on vinegar and mustard. After the meat, a cold sip of the water naengmyeon totally reset my palate, and the bibim naengmyeon was tangy and spicy — perfect alongside the meat.

Is Golmokjip Galbisal good value for two?

The meat itself wasn't overpriced, plus you get a free doenjang jjigae, and the dessert naengmyeon is cheap too — overall the whole spread felt generous and the value for money was really solid. Price is always a concern at BBQ restaurants, but given the quality and taste of the meat here, the price felt more than fair — very satisfying.

Golmokjip Galbisal Yeonsinnae Main Branch is a great pick when you're craving good meat in Yeonsinnae. I'd like to try other menu items next time, so I think I'll be back :) The relaxed atmosphere also makes it a good spot to visit with friends or family — a satisfying Korean BBQ restaurant in Yeonsinnae with both meat quality and value covered!
