Where is Flat Nine and what are its hours?
Flat Nine is a live jazz bar on the 5th floor of a building in the alley between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station. It's open weekdays 18:00–23:00, with last order at 22:30, and you visit by reservation.

[ Flat Nine exterior, a Sinnonhyeon date spot ] Flat Nine sits in an alley between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station packed with restaurants and bars, so it was easy to find! Once you reach the building you'll see the Flat Nine signage, and taking the elevator to the 5th floor puts you right at the entrance. I'd booked a 3pm reservation, and even before stepping inside I could already feel that distinct jazz-bar atmosphere — it got me excited haha. Flat Nine is a place where you can enjoy live jazz along with your meal, so I'd really recommend it if you're looking for a bar near Gangnam Station or a special date spot near Sinnonhyeon!

Inside Flat Nine: seating close to the stage
[ Inside Flat Nine ] The moment I walked in, the dim lighting and grand piano gave off a classy jazz-bar mood. The lighting was low and soft throughout, which made the atmosphere feel even cozier, and the tables were arranged facing the stage so it was easy to focus on the performance. What felt like Flat Nine's own charm was how close the stage was to the seating — you could enjoy live jazz right while you ate!

What is on the menu at Flat Nine?
Flat Nine has everything from pasta and steak to a wide range of drinks, so it's good for enjoying a meal and a drink together. Alongside its own course menu, there are à la carte options like pasta and steak, plus a good variety of wine and cocktails — a lineup that suits both people looking for pasta near Gangnam Station and those who want to keep drinking after the meal.
We came in at 3pm and started the meal at a relaxed pace, and from 4pm the live jazz kicked in, so we got to enjoy food and music together!
Ordering the signature course for two
[ Ordered ] Signature course for two

We ordered the signature course for two that day. Starting with a welcome drink and a light amuse-bouche, then moving through bread and salad, lasagna, the main dish and finally dessert — the course structure made for a relaxed, leisurely meal, and I'd fully recommend it for a special occasion! Since the dishes came out one by one in order, it was great for tasting each one while chatting, and it also suited anyone looking for pasta near Gangnam Station.

It started with a simple welcome drink, then the course dishes began arriving one after another. Everything is brought to the table by the staff, which made enjoying the course feel comfortable and atmospheric.

Aperitif and amuse-bouche
From the welcome drink and the amuse-bouche that followed it, every single dish was plated beautifully and cleanly. You could really feel the care put into each one — clean flavors, and really delicious.

Bread and salad
The salad that came next was a light course of fresh vegetables, and it felt like it cleared the palate nicely before the pasta and main dish to come.

Lasagna
The lasagna that followed is one of the dishes served as part of the Flat Nine course — the layers of pasta and sauce came together for a hearty, satisfying bite.

This lasagna was even better than I expected! I found myself wanting to eat it again — total taste-match for me!

The main course: steak
The main course was steak, which anchored the meal, and eating through everything from the light starters to the main in order made the whole meal feel really substantial.

The quality of the steak in particular was really good. Genuinely delicious for the price..! The meat practically melted — I was honestly surprised. Total win.

Live jazz from 4pm at Flat Nine
The jazz performance kicked into full swing partway through the meal! What made Flat Nine special was being able to enjoy a meal and live jazz together. We'd booked for 3pm, and while we were eating the jazz performance started at 4pm, so we got to enjoy food and music at the same time.

Finishing the course with dessert
We wrapped things up with dessert! A sweet little something to cleanse the palate after the meal made for a clean, perfect finish to the course.
Being able to enjoy an atmospheric meal and a live show all in one place makes this a great match for anyone looking for a bar near Gangnam Station, pasta near Gangnam Station, or a special date spot near Sinnonhyeon — I'd really recommend it as a Sinnonhyeon date course!
