I went to B LAB, a Gangnam Station bar that's great for settling in comfortably and enjoying cocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails while you talk for hours. It has both floor and table seating so you can pick whichever suits you, plus board games, making it a cocktail bar that's easy to spend time in with friends! I was especially looking forward to it because the profile of Martin, the founder of B LAB, mentioned five consecutive years ranked No. 1 domestically and 10 world competition wins. What B LAB looks like from the street

B LAB Gangnam Station Main Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building tucked in an alley within the main Gangnam Station commercial area. I walked right past it without finding it the first time, so check the sign and building location on the 1st floor before heading up, haha. Since it's not far from the station, it also felt low-effort as a second-round spot after other Gangnam Station bars!

Inside B LAB: floor seating, table seating and board games

What stuck with me most about B LAB was how comfortable the seating options are! There are floor seats where you take your shoes off and sit comfortably, alongside table seating, so your group can choose based on preference! The floor seating looked especially good for long conversations or board games, while the table seating felt like a typical cocktail bar — easy to use without any pressure!

The bar also has board games ready to go, so it felt less like a place to knock back drinks quickly and leave, and more like a Gangnam Station bar for lingering with friends over a game, haha. Looking at who was actually there, quite a lot of people in their 20s were visiting!

The main thing cocktail bar B LAB is known for is unlimited cocktails! Cocktails, highballs, and shots are all unlimited for ₩18,000! There's a wide range of cocktails available. You're allowed to bring in outside snacks, so you can order delivery or bring takeout comfortably, haha. We skipped it because we were already full!

The welcome drink was a special hwaju (fruit spirit) cocktail! Isn't the color gorgeous? They even lit it on fire for the performance — great touch! You're supposed to drink it in one go, and since the proof is high, be careful if you're not a strong drinker!

How the non-alcoholic Eol Vanilla and Eol Grapefruit taste

The non-alcoholic Eol Vanilla I ordered had a vanilla scent that stood out first when I actually drank it, and the sweetness came through smoothly rather than hitting too hard.

Rather than the scent punching through strongly like syrup, it felt more like the cozy aroma of vanilla bean naturally melted into the drink! Even with the first sip, the vanilla notes stayed at the center, so the first impression and the flavor's flow felt natural, haha. One glass was the alcoholic Eol Grapefruit — if you like grapefruit, it's a flavor you could sip through easily like a soft drink.

Hawaii-Traveled Cow and Vanilla-Fed Cow, B LAB's sweetest cocktails

Next up were Hawaii-Traveled Cow and Vanilla-Fed Cow! Vanilla-Fed Cow adds vanilla to a soft, nutty milk base! Rather than being just sweet, it had a more refined, cozy kind of sweetness, haha. The milk wrapped the vanilla scent gently, and the texture stayed smooth too, so it felt more like dessert! Both the fragrance of vanilla and the nuttiness of milk came through together, so I'd recommend it if you like sweet flavors!
