Weekday lunch with terrace seats in Pocheon: From Italy restaurant

I went for a weekday lunch to "From Italy," a restaurant near Gwangneung Arboretum in Pocheon! It's located at 669 Jukyeopsan-ro, Sohheul-eup, Pocheon-si!

Where is From Italy, and is there parking?

From Italy, a restaurant near Gwangneung Arboretum in Pocheon, has a large parking lot right in front, which made it really convenient to visit by car.

From Italy, a pasta restaurant near Gomo-ri in Pocheon, is quite famous and has appeared on TV a lot — the owner chef, who used to work at a 5-star hotel in Gangnam, Seoul and headed R&D at a fine dining restaurant, personally developed the menu here 👍

Second-floor group seating, tables for two and the interior

The interior was clean and nicely decorated with an antique feel, and there were tables on the second floor too, which made it great for group gatherings of 10 or more. You can sit by the window and enjoy the view outside while eating, and since there are also tables for two, From Italy works well as a date spot in Pocheon too 👏

There's a nicely arranged terrace outside, so it was great for a stroll and a cup of tea after the meal.

There was one cute cat lounging in the warm sunlight — it looked like the restaurant was feeding it 😌

This is what we ordered! From Italy, a pasta restaurant in Pocheon, is the best Italian restaurant in the area — you can get pasta, risotto, pizza, and even steak, basically every kind of Italian dish.

Everything came out quickly, and the zucca dolce and half-and-half pizza we ordered looked gorgeous and delicious, both in visuals and plating 🫶

The grapefruit ade and lemon-honey ade came out first, and since they're made with house-made fruit syrup, they were refreshing and sweet 😌

Squid ink ciabatta, the bread served before the meal

The squid ink ciabatta served as pre-meal bread is apparently fermented for 14 hours every day. Dipping the warm ciabatta into olive balsamic sauce was delicious 📍

Zucca dolce: whole kabocha pumpkin seafood pasta, 37,000 won

Zucca dolce is a spicy tomato pasta, served at 1.5 times the usual portion, packed with bacon, baby octopus, shrimp, scallops, mussels, crab 🦀 and various other fresh seafood, all inside a whole pumpkin 👍

You cut the fully-cooked pumpkin in half and coat the pasta noodles inside generously with the spicy tomato sauce along with the seafood — the combination of pumpkin and seafood with the spicy tomato sauce worked really well together 👏

Half-and-half pizza: blueberry and spicy pepperoni, 34,000 won

We ordered the half-and-half pizza in blueberry and spicy pepperoni flavors. The blueberry side is topped with blueberry sauce and fresh blueberries 🫐, plus a generous amount of cream cheese, making it sweet and creamy and really delicious 👍 The spicy pepperoni side had finely chopped jalapeños as toppings, and the tomato sauce itself was spicy too, giving it a distinct flavor that paired even better alongside the blueberry pizza ^^

The portions were really huge and we were stuffed, but we cleaned every plate at From Italy, this pasta restaurant near Gomo-ri in Pocheon. If you're looking for a pasta restaurant in Pocheon, I recommend it 👏 It was a delicious meal.
