Overall it's a clean, comfortable space, and with partitions at each table I could eat at ease. There was also a more private room-style and floor-seating option, plus kids' chairs and utensils, making it just right for family meals too.

The sizeable griddle came loaded with fresh raw meat and vegetables — since eating just meat can get heavy or repetitive, the generous garnish of broccoli, onion, mushroom, paprika, and pineapple rounded it out into a perfect plate.

I especially liked that you could pick one meat for the base size and add another for the add-on size, making the half-and-half combo possible.

The pork shoulder and belly came from acorn-fed sows — fresh meat with no gamey smell, chewy yet tender, with the subtle charcoal aroma and flavor blending in naturally for a deep, rich savoriness and softness — genuinely delicious.

Paired with the special sauces, it was moist and clean-tasting, with a tangy-sweet savoriness that filled my mouth without being too sharp — really great. It also arrived conveniently finished and was moved over onto a solid-fuel stove, so I could eat comfortably and enjoy the last bite still warm and tasty.

Finishing the griddle with cheese fried rice

A fantastic combination of savory cheese and spicy sauce. The slightly crisped, scorched rice on the griddle was crunchy, mingling with the crisp vegetables and leftover meat — you'd genuinely be missing out if you skipped this fried rice.

They also had various alcoholic drinks on the menu, though sadly it was too early in the day for that. I wrapped up the meal with a refreshing cola instead, feeling satisfied and full.
