A Songdo Central Park favorite bakery. The weather was so nice this weekend that I went for a light walk around Songdo Central Park! After enjoying the breeze, the smell of freshly baked bread inevitably tickled my nose. I usually go out of my way for a good bakery, so I scoured the nearby options. That's how I found a place locals in Songdo rave about for its salt bread and distinctive baguettes! It's Tomoru Bakery, famous as a Songdo Central Park favorite bakery, and I walked in like I was under a spell haha.

The moment I stepped in, warm lighting and the smell of freshly baked bread filled the whole space! Looking at the beautifully arranged bakery lineup on the display case, my mouth was watering already.

The store's atmosphere was also very clean and well-kept, which made picking out bread a genuinely pleasant experience! It was a happy dilemma deciding which bread to put on the tray first :)

I originally planned to just buy one or two breads to try, but faced with the eye-catching visuals and variety on offer, there was no way to hold back! From basic meal breads to sweet desserts to the trendy tart varieties, everything was well set up. The golden-baked surface studded with salt looked crispy outside and moist inside just from looking at it! It felt like they'd used quality ingredients generously while staying true to the basics, so my hand reached for it on its own haha.

But what caught my eye the most was the Dubai chocolate baguette! Inside the crispy baguette was a rich, sweet Dubai-style pistachio kadayif and chocolate, harmoniously packed in. This combo is hard to find anywhere these days, so I was extra glad to see it! Expecting to enjoy the savory, sweet, and uniquely textured combination all at once, I picked it first for my tray :)

Even the basic breads, like the handmade red bean bread, had a satisfying heft! The weight in my hand hinted at just how generous the filling and cream inside were. The owner told me they bake fresh every day with a same-day-baked, same-day-sold principle, which made it easy to trust and enjoy. I could see why people make a special trip to this favorite bakery near Incheon National University Station.

In the end, I kept absentmindedly piling delicious-looking breads onto my tray, and before I knew it, the total came out to well over ₩30,000! I really only meant to buy a little, but resisting the temptation of all that bread was the hardest thing in the world haha. Still, walking home with a heavy bag of bread was the lightest, happiest my steps have ever felt!

As soon as I got home, I unpacked and tried the breads one by one, and honestly, it was amazing! The Dubai chocolate baguette, the one I was most excited for, had that crispy baguette bite followed by a burst of sweet, nutty kadayif flavor — it instantly became a bread of a lifetime for me. The salt bread's inside was moist with butter, and the savory flavor was incredible too! I completely understood why this place is considered a favorite bakery at Songdo Triple Street among so many options.
