Pork belly restaurant in Seohae with cold noodles: Sammi-jip
In short
Sammi-jip is a pork belly restaurant in Seohae, Incheon. I enjoyed kitchen-grilled whole pork belly with homemade dongchimi, cold noodles, and cheese fried rice without the grilling work. Verdict: a great pick for an easy, satisfying Korean barbecue meal.

Sammi-jip, a pork restaurant in Cheongna's dining alley where all the good meat places gather! ✔️ Parking was available right in front of the restaurant.

Inside Sammi-jip and the menu

Sammi-jip, a pork belly restaurant in Cheongna, had such a nice atmosphere that it hardly felt like a barbecue place!!! The interior was clean and bright ✨
The signature menu is, of course, pork. belly!!! ✔️ They had various cuts including regular pork belly, whole pork belly, pork jowl, and Korean beef brisket. Lunch specials were available too.

What were the side dishes like?

The side dishes came out quickly after ordering. ✔️ There was dongchimi (radish water kimchi) with a cool, tangy flavor that really woke up my appetite, and it was incredibly good. That dongchimi broth was truly a work of art...!!!

The house-made dongchimi was so delicious, I wanted to take some home.

✔️ The sides to grill with the meat included minari (water parsley), mushrooms, onion, dressed shredded scallion, and kimchi. The first serving of minari was free.

A separate meat sauce came out too. It was soy-sauce-based, and that was delicious as well.

And the perfectly ripened kimchi was ready to make that Cheongna pork belly even better 😘✌🏻

Kimchi whole pork belly came out grilled, so convenient
✅ Kimchi whole pork belly, 1 person (₩17,000) Thick, appetizing whole pork belly arrived on a huge pot lid grill. A whole head of nicely fermented kimchi sat on the blazing-hot lid too.

A look that simply could not possibly be bad!!! Kimchi sizzling in pork belly fat 😉 Minari, dressed shredded scallion, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and onion were added and grilled together too. With fragrant minari grilling alongside it all, it looked even more irresistible ✨
✔️ The whole pork belly came already grilled, so I could eat right away instead of waiting for it to cook!!! At barbecue restaurants, you are usually busy grilling and eating, but I loved that the meat at Sammi-jip came grilled.

Even better, the meat was grilled so beautifully that the compliments just came out on their own.

Wrapping it in fresh lettuce with grilled scallions was pure heaven~

Especially, the kimchi grilled in pork belly fat was the key, and I enjoyed it so much.

As it kept sizzling hot in the pork belly fat, it became even more delicious.

The whole pork belly had a nice balance of fat and lean meat, so it was savory yet clean-tasting. There was absolutely no porky smell, and the quality of the meat was obvious.

I wondered if whole pork belly might be tough, but not at all~!!! Every bite was packed with meat juices. There were so many different sides to enjoy with the meat too, and everything was so good. The kimchi and dressed scallions were especially the best 👍🏻

Finishing with cold noodles and cheese fried rice
✅ Mul-naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles, ₩8,000) I always have mul-naengmyeon when I eat meat, so I added an order of these refreshing cold noodles.

The cold noodles had little ice crystals floating in the broth—so cool and refreshing. The portion was quite generous, so the two of us shared it, but it would also make a perfect meal on its own.

As expected, mul-naengmyeon and pork belly are a perfect match. Eating them together like yuksam-naengmyeon (meat-wrapped cold noodles) made it even tastier.
✅ Cheese fried rice, 1 person (₩4,000) After finishing the meat, fried rice was the finale. Fried rice on a pot lid grill—what more is there to say? 😉

The owner made the fried rice too, so I could simply relax and eat, haha. Topped with mozzarella, it was twice as delicious. Don't forget this must-order dish—definitely try it 🥰
My overall Sammi-jip visit review

A great pork restaurant in Cheongna, with pork belly grilled for you. ✔️ At Sammi-jip, all you need to do is eat comfortably. The service and flavor were both perfect at this Cheongna Korean restaurant and pot lid pork belly spot.

I recommend Sammi-jip, a comfortable Cheongna barbecue restaurant and pork belly specialist where the meat is grilled for you.
