✅ I ordered the Sukiyaki A Set (₩20,900 per person), which comes with unlimited vegetables plus jeongak beef

✔️ There are four meat options for sukiyaki or shabu — jeongak, albmokshim, salchi, and hanwoo 1+ seoldae. Since you can choose the type of meat, we went with jeongak

The table setting arrives as soon as you order — a fresh salad, a raw egg for the sukiyaki, and three side dishes. The salad was so good I refilled it twice 😉

How to eat sukiyaki at Okjoban

Okjoban's sukiyaki is cooked by melting butter in a hot cast-iron pan, then adding vegetables and mushrooms to simmer. The staff explained the eating method in detail, so it wasn't difficult even on a first visit.

✔️ Once butter is melted in the hot cast-iron pan, adding a fragrant aroma, the sukiyaki vegetables and mushrooms go in

You pour in the right amount of vegetable stock and sukiyaki sauce, simmer it, then pull out the vegetables and meat to eat once cooked — that's how sukiyaki works

The kind staff explained in detail how to eat sukiyaki, so even on my first visit to Okjoban it wasn't hard to figure out 😉

If it tastes a bit too salty, you can pour in more stock to adjust the seasoning, tasting as you go

✔️ Dipping the well-cooked meat from Okjoban's sukiyaki into the raw egg yolk gives it a savory, clean flavor at the same time. Not fishy at all, just clean and rich 🥰💕

The meat for the sukiyaki was really tender too, and the sukiyaki seasoning soaked well into both meat and vegetables, making it even more delicious 😉

What comes in the unlimited vegetable spread

Okjoban's Sukiyaki A Set comes with unlimited vegetables, so you can freely ask for more whenever you need. The lineup includes bean sprouts, bok choy, oyster mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and alba cabbage.

Great for taste, but also good as a healthy meal — this was Okjoban's sukiyaki at a Gongdeok restaurant with parking

Finishing with kimchi fried rice and tea

✔️ The dessert menu lets you choose between udon or fried rice. We love fried rice, so we ordered the sweet-and-savory kimchi fried rice!!! Just looking at it made me hungry... 😋

With savory roasted seaweed flakes and egg mixed in, this really couldn't taste bad... 😘 We ate satisfyingly all the way to the end

To finish, a sweet and tangy dessert tea ✨ — with dessert included, it was truly a complete meal
