Today I went for lunch to 'Morakmorak Seolleongtang Ansan Seongpo Main Branch,' a place that's become word-of-mouth famous as an Ansan Jungang Station restaurant, for a hearty bowl of seolleongtang. After going myself, I could totally see why it's such a popular lunch spot.
This place has a lot of regulars thanks to its signature menu of seolleongtang and galbitang, and since it's near Jungang Station, it's a great spot to visit whenever you want a solid, filling lunch.
Where is Morakmorak Seolleongtang in Ansan, and where do you park?

Morakmorak Seolleongtang & Galbitang Butcher Restaurant, well known as an Ansan Jungang Station restaurant, is located on the basement 1st floor of the Star Plaza building :) You can park inside the Star Plaza building, and there's actually quite a bit to see nearby! Plus, if you eat here, you can register for free 4-hour parking — the parking lot is spacious too, so no worries there.

What is the dining room like inside?
The inside has several tables set up, and overall it's a comfortable spot to eat. Customers kept streaming in, and a lot of them seemed to be regulars. The restaurant also sells alcohol, so I noticed a few people enjoying a drink alongside their galbitang.

Menu prices and the self-serve side dish bar
Morakmorak Seolleongtang, an Ansan Jungang Station restaurant, really has a lot of great lunch options — the signature seolleongtang and galbitang, plus hamburg steak, beef bulgogi hot pot, special seolleongtang, yukhoe bibimbap, spicy braised pork back ribs, and more. From hearty single dishes to sets, it's an Ansan Jungang Station restaurant with plenty of variety.

The basic side dishes are kimchi, kkakdugi, gosari, onion and peppers, and ssamjang haha. There's also a self-serve bar, so you can grab refills for anything you run low on!!
Seolleongtang under 10,000 won: how was the broth?

The Morakmorak seolleongtang, which looks hearty just from a glance and costs less than ₩10,000, comes out hot in a stone bowl. The broth is rich and clean-tasting!

They say the clear, rich broth comes from Korean beef bones directly boned at their own butcher shop, simmered for 3 days and then refrigerated for 2 days to remove the fat — that's the key point! Pepper and salt are on every table, so you can season it to your taste for an even better bowl. There's plenty of meat and noodles inside too, making it a perfectly filling meal.
Morakmorak's kimchi jjigae, the hidden menu pick

Honestly, I didn't expect much from the kimchi jjigae I ordered. I was just craving something extra spicy that day, so I ordered it — and I was so glad I did *.*

It came loaded with meat, and the spicy, rich kimchi jjigae flavor was outstanding — eating it with a bowl of rice made for such a filling meal!! haha

The meat had zero gamey smell and was so tender — I think I cleared the whole bowl of rice without even noticing! Today's kimchi jjigae turned out to be more of a hidden gem than I expected.
Is Morakmorak Seolleongtang Ansan Seongpo worth a lunch visit?
With prices under ₩10,000, and even the galbitang cheaper than at other branches, Morakmorak Seolleongtang Ansan Seongpo Main Branch is a great spot for a filling lunch. If you're in Seongpo-dong and want a hearty stone-bowl meal for lunch or dinner, it's perfect for a day when you want to recharge with seolleongtang or galbitang.
The amount of meat relative to the price was satisfying, and the portions were generous enough to enjoy a really filling meal. If you're looking for an Ansan Jungang Station restaurant, don't overthink your lunch plans — just go to Morakmorak.
