Our family made it through summer! At the tail end of the season we had a hearty galbi set for lunch ◡̎ Good-quality handmade marinated galbi with yukhoe, sulbap and even naengmyeon on the table — a galbi set that's great to visit with family, Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch.

Location and parking for Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch (5 minutes from Lakewood CC)

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is five minutes by car from Lakewood CC, so it's a great Yangju galbi spot for a meal before or after a round ◡̎ It's a bit far from the subway, so I'd recommend driving — the dedicated parking lot is nice and spacious too haha.

1st floor booths, 2nd floor group room vibe

The 1st floor shares space with the kitchen so there aren't that many tables, but the window seats have partitions between them, giving a private, cozy feel :) The seats are spacious and comfortable, so it's good for bringing elderly parents too ദ്ദി

The 2nd floor has lots of seating! The group rooms are well set up too, so if you're looking for a hearty, delicious Yangju galbi place for a family gathering or group dinner, Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch is it! The 1st floor doesn't have a self-serve bar so staff bring you anything extra you need, but the 2nd floor has its own self-serve bar! haha

Weekday lunch-special handmade galbi set for two + yukhoe bibimbap

I ordered the weekday lunch-special handmade galbi set for two, available only 11am–3pm, plus a yukhoe bibimbap :)

Every one of the many side dishes was savory and delicious haha. Especially the spicy chili paste mix?! You could eat a whole bowl of rice with just that and water ദ്ദി

Yukhoe and yukjeon (pan-fried beef) came with the lunch-special galbi set. The handmade galbi that comes with the two-person set is a two-portion amount — oh, so generous! ˃̶͈◡˂̶͈ The galbi color looks great, right?! ❤︎

Handmade marinated galbi grilled over charcoal

The charcoal heat was so strong that the galbi grilled up quickly and deliciously hahaha.

Even grilled by me — someone who's bad at grilling meat — it came out tender, soft and so delicious hahaha. Eating it with just the pickled onions was the best way ◡̎

The doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice soup) was really solid and clean too... it seemed like it would be great for a hangover, but sadly I didn't have one to cure ^^ haha.

One taste-size Hamhung naengmyeon per person (water or spicy mixed)

Manpo Galbi's handmade galbi set even comes with a taste-size naengmyeon (cold noodles) per person! Just the right amount to enjoy alongside the meat hahaha. I love eating water naengmyeon with meat so I ordered that — it had refreshing floating ice slush ◡̎

The bibim naengmyeon's sauce was spicy-sweet ദ്ദി I didn't expect much from a taste-size portion, but the noodles were really good too :)

What to order for three people?

The yukhoe bibimbap had really fresh yukhoe and a generous amount, so it was half rice, half yukhoe ദ്ദി The galbi set already comes out so generously that for a group of three like us, I'd recommend two sets plus one extra à la carte dish! Manpo Galbi's galbitang (short rib soup) also gets great reviews and a lot of people order it, apparently.

Meat still on the bone to finish, the soup to finish, the spicy naengmyeon to finish — my dad who doesn't want to miss anything.. ^^ ha

The sulbap and the galbi were both so filling and delicious, and we cleared the table,

Coffee, bbeong cream, and dessert

Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch even has dessert,, truly perfect!! First there's brewed coffee,, with an ice cup too ദ്ദി

Since it's a Yangju galbi place that a lot of families visit, there's even bbeong cream (puffed rice cream snack) for the kids! But the adults love it too..^^

Bbeong cream placed in my food-loving grandfather's hand. I thought he'd say no, but he ended up saying 'they even have this?' and finished it up happily hahaha.

Highly recommend the Manpo Galbi set — handmade galbi, Hamhung naengmyeon and sulbap all for around ₩10,000-something ദ്ദി Great for bringing your parents, and a good Yangju galbi spot for a group lunch or dinner before or after a round at Lakewood CC in Yangju, Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch.
