Seopseom Island view café in Seogwipo with rice cake: Forest Jeongbang
In short
Forest Jeongbang (FOREST JB) is a two-floor ocean-view café near Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo, Jeju. After walking around Jeongbang Waterfall, the writer took a full-window seat on the second floor of Forest Jeongbang for a Valrhona choco rice cake with Americano set (10,000 won) and a fresh tomato juice (7,500 won), looking out at Seopseom Island and the sea. The rice cake is gluten-free and sat light on the stomach, and with its own parking lot and high chairs, Forest Jeongbang is an easy rest stop before or after the waterfall.

Jeju weather has been all over the place lately — clear skies one minute, rain the next, then it clears right back up again, kind of like Southeast Asia haha.
It's been a while since I did a date-slash-trip(?) kind of outing, so after checking out Jeongbang Waterfall, I went looking for a Seogwipo café to rest at nearby and ended up at Forest Jeongbang, which is close to my place!
Where is Forest Jeongbang (FOREST JB)?
Forest Jeongbang is a two-floor ocean-view café at 9 Chilsimni-ro 214beon-gil, Seogwipo-si, right near Jeongbang Waterfall. It's open daily from 09:00 to 19:00, last order 18:30, and never closes.
On Naver Maps it's registered as '포레스트 정방' (Forest Jeongbang), while the building's actual sign reads 'FOREST JB.' Close to Jeongbang Waterfall, with a cool sea view and handmade rice cakes to boot — here's my full review of this Jeju café.
Off we go~~

The black exterior with orange accents made it easy to spot 👍👍

Parking and the photo spot at the entrance
If you drive, there's a dedicated parking lot right next to the café. There's even a sign for the café's own parking near the entrance, so it was easy to find even on my first visit.

At the entrance there's a cute photo zone with a character and tangerines. It really gives off that Jeju travel vibe, so it'd be great for pictures with kids too haha.

Forest Jeongbang menu and prices
Forest Jeongbang has a wide menu — coffee, fruit juices, sandwiches, croffles, madeleines, and handmade rice cakes. Americano is ₩5,000, tomato juice is ₩7,500, and the cake + Americano set is ₩10,000.

The display case had a Valrhona choco rice cake, a Udo peanut rice cake, and a Jeju tangerine yogurt rice cake lined up side by side.

There were also Jeju organic lemon rice madeleines and sandwiches ready — so many dessert options that it was hard to decide what to order haha.

What I ordered that day: tomato juice and the cake + Americano set! Ordering at the kiosk made it easy to take my time checking the menu and prices.

Seopseom Island and sea views from the 2nd-floor window seats
At Forest Jeongbang, you order on the first floor, then follow the signs up to the second floor, where a spacious dining area and a terrace await.

The first thing that caught my eye upstairs was the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. In the clean white-toned space, sunlight poured in through the huge windows, making the whole café feel bright and airy! The AC was also blasting full power, so it was seriously cool inside. The tables were spaced generously too, which made it comfortable to relax.

Through the windows, green trees, the Jeju sea, and Seopseom Island unfold all at once. The weather was great, and it honestly looked like a painting. Just sipping a drink while staring at the view felt like a proper rest :) If you're looking for a Seogwipo ocean-view café with a great view near Jeongbang Waterfall, this scenery alone is reason enough to visit.

How do the tomato juice and Valrhona choco rice cake taste?
Since I always carry a tumbler, I had my Americano poured into my large tumbler.

The fresh tomato juice had real pulp and texture. It was cold and refreshing, perfect for a hot day, and the natural tomato flavor came through cleanly.

The cake I picked had a rich chocolate coating over the Valrhona choco base, topped generously with small chocolate pieces. The sweet chocolate cake paired really well with the bitter Americano. According to the café, the handmade rice cakes are all gluten-free. I often reach for gluten-free bread or desserts because of digestion issues, and this rice cake sat easy on my stomach too :)

Is Forest Jeongbang good for visiting with kids?
The second floor at Forest Jeongbang has high chairs, so it looked fine for visiting with kids too. Group visits and takeout are both possible, and besides the indoor seats there's also a second-floor terrace — great for enjoying the Jeju scenery outdoors during the cooler spring and fall seasons.

Close to Jeongbang Waterfall, its own parking lot right next door, Seopseom Island and the sea through floor-to-ceiling windows, plus desserts made with Jeju ingredients! I'd recommend this Seogwipo café to anyone looking for a place to rest before or after visiting Jeongbang Waterfall, or an ocean-view café that's good to visit with kids :) Next time I'd love to bring my niece — she'd really love it here.
