This Jeju trip was full of nothing but great finds and I'm so happy about it!! Today I'm introducing a Jeju pizza restaurant in Ara-dong that gives off American vibes from the sign alone — Dough Rider Pizza. 🍕

Pizza, all the way out here in Jeju? Even I didn't expect to eat such an unusual pizza before I saw the menu. A pizza topped with lime, cilantro, and shrimp! And since we were in Jeju, we also had to try the black pork pasta.

Dough Rider is in Ara-il-dong, Jeju-si. The big DOUGH RIDER sign on the building's first floor caught my eye right from the entrance.

The English name written in red on a pink background — today's meal is going full American haha.
What's the vibe inside like?
The moment we walked in, a cheerful owner greeted us warmly. Even the owner gave off American vibes! Of course, they're Korean haha. The friendly greeting put us in a good mood right away.
Inside, everything from the goods to American car license plates, posters, and cacti caught my eye. The feeling from the sign carries right through into the interior. 🌵

Places like this are fun to browse piece by piece. It matched the pizzeria vibe so well that I felt like I'd briefly stepped somewhere else in the middle of our Jeju trip.

But we were really hungry at this point… so we put the browsing on hold and quickly checked the menu haha.
Deciding on the couple set and menu
We ordered the couple set, which includes an L pizza, one side, and two drinks. It's ₩35,000 as a base, with extra charges depending on the pizza and side you pick. There's also a lunch single set, so if you're visiting alone, that's worth checking out too.

There are familiar pizzas like cheese and pepperoni, but also menu items whose names alone make you curious, like Hawaiian coconut spicy, balsamic garlic mushroom, and Jeju black pork Detroit.

The one that caught my radar was the Lime Cilantro Shrimp Kick! Cilantro on a pizza with lime — I was curious what that would taste like. And since we came to Jeju, we had to get something with black pork — I chose the black pork bolognese pasta.
How was the lime cilantro shrimp kick pizza?
Let me talk about the pizza first. Could fresh lime and cilantro really go this well with shrimp?! I picked it out of curiosity about the combination, and once I tried it, I understood why they put it together. 🍋🟩

I'm not a big fan of cola, but I always drink it with pizza because pizza gets a bit greasy after a while. But this pizza was fresh and bright! Never thought I'd describe a pizza as refreshing haha. Cilantro's distinctive aroma plus lime made a great combination with the shrimp.

If you like cilantro and want to try something a little different, this pizza is worth keeping an eye on.
Jeju black pork bolognese pasta
The black pork bolognese pasta was delicious too. 🍝 The noodles were cooked al dente with a nice bite, and best of all, the sauce was generous — I really like a lot of sauce when I eat pasta! The black pork was finely chopped in, so it went down easy along with the noodles. I was glad we picked one pizza and one pasta.
Would I go back?
Dough Rider put us in a good mood thanks to the American-feel sign and the friendly owner, and the pizza was delicious too, so it's a place I'd love to revisit next time I'm in Jeju. If you want something different in the way of pizza in Ara-dong, Jeju, give Dough Rider a try.💗
