Haeundae dinner restaurant and beach walk: Bueokgan

Today, my boyfriend and I finally went on a dinner date in Haeundae for the first time in a while. The weather was so pleasantly cool that it felt like a shame to go straight home, so we hopped on a bus for Haeundae, saying we should have something delicious and take a slow walk afterward. 🚌💨

We arrived a little after 7 p.m., and the sun had nearly set, leaving it dim outside. The weather was just perfect and a cool breeze was blowing—on days like this, I think even just walking makes you feel good. ☺️

Our dinner-date destination today was, ta-da!!! Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, a Haeundae Italian restaurant known as a great place to eat.

Parking and hours

• You can use the parking lot beside Bueokgan Bakery or the one behind the building.
• Hours are daily from 11:00 to 21:00, with last orders at 20:30. Break time is 15:00–16:30, and there are no regular closing days.
• Corkage is free for up to three bottles; from the fourth bottle, it is ₩15,000 per bottle.
• It is a kid-friendly zone with high chairs and dedicated children's tableware.

As soon as we entered, a staff member welcomed us so brightly and kindly and showed us to our table! We were about to sit at the table we were first given, but they thoughtfully explained in advance that it was directly in the air-conditioning breeze and might get cold if we stayed there a while. We comfortably moved to the table beside it instead. That considerate service made me feel so good from the moment we arrived. 🤍

On one side, there was a stylish seating area in green,

and on the other side was the yellow seating area that I absolutely loved. Warm, soft lighting throughout was accented with yellow and green, giving the place a distinctly European feel. 💛💚 Visiting in the evening made it feel even calmer and more romantic—just right for a blind date or an anniversary date!

As we looked around, I noticed that the reserved tables had baby tableware neatly set out and high chairs ready, too! It seemed so thoughtful and like a great choice not only for dates but also for family meals with young children. 👶

You can conveniently order from the table ordering system! I saw that it has well-organized language settings, too. While we were eating, Japanese tourists at the table two tables over were enjoying wine and pasta, and it looked like a great place for international visitors to come without a language barrier. 🍷🍝

Actually, we originally came planning to have the special steak set! Sadly, it was already sold out. 🥲 Putting that disappointment aside, we ordered the generously arranged Couple Set instead!

The Bueokgan Couple Dish Set we ordered includes a salad, soup, pasta, pizza, and two drinks, with a base price of ₩51,000. We chose pastry soup (+₩2,000), the standard garden salad, carbonara (+₩1,000), arugula prosciutto pizza (+₩5,000), and a single orange drink and Coke Zero as the standard drinks. With ₩8,000 in option add-ons, our order was perfectly tailored to our tastes! 😋

How was the Couple Set?

After ordering and chatting for a bit, the refreshing salad and drinks came out first! The crisp fresh vegetables were generously topped with savory cheese, salty jamón, and bright cherry tomatoes, getting our appetites going right away! 🥗

Next came the warming sweet pumpkin pastry soup and carbonara pasta together!

The look alone caught my eye: flaky pastry dough covered the soup bowl like a lid! I tapped the golden pastry open with my spoon, dipped it into the smooth sweet pumpkin cream soup, and ate it. Its gentle sweetness and nutty flavor spread softly, warming me right through. 💛

For pasta, we chose carbonara, a classic of Italian cooking! It was the undisputed number-one, our top-pick menu item for both my boyfriend and me that day! 🥇💛 A perfectly poached egg came on top; after breaking it and mixing everything together, the thick, rich sauce coated every strand, and the flavor exploded from the very first bite! There was no skimping on the bacon or mushrooms either, so the texture was fantastic. It was clean and nutty without being heavy, and we kept saying, “They really know how to make pasta here,” as we polished off every last bite. 😋

The golden-baked pizza dough was generously topped with fresh, pleasantly bitter arugula, jamón, and snowy cheese! The dough was wonderfully chewy, and the cheese and arugula worked together so well.

As we ate delicious food and caught up on all the things we had not had time to talk about, the plates were empty before we knew it. 😋

Time really seems to fly fastest when you are chatting over delicious food.

A night walk to Haeundae Beach after dinner

After such a satisfying meal, we were full and did not want to head straight home, so we decided to walk slowly to Haeundae Beach to help digest. Walking the night streets and Haeundae's nighttime sea in the cool breeze, I felt so happy simply eating delicious Italian food with someone I love and walking together—nothing especially grand, just that moment. 🤍

It was a shame that the steak set was sold out this time, but the kind service, atmosphere, and food were all perfect, so I am thinking of coming back soon for it!
