I recently visited PICT Roastery, a stylish new café in Mangwon-dong. It originally started as a single location in Magok, and apparently it did well enough that they opened a second branch in Mangwon! Opening a second location isn't easy for a café, but once I visited, I totally understood why they could pull it off. I hope they open more branches everywhere!! Here's my satisfying review of a café with great vibes, coffee, and desserts~!
Where is PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch, and what are the hours and parking?
PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch is a café located at 45 World Cup-ro 23-gil, 1st floor, Mapo-gu, Seoul, near Mangwon Station and Mangwon Market. It's open Wed–Fri 11:00–19:00 (last order 18:30) and Sat–Sun 11:00–21:00 (last order 20:30), closed Mon and Tue for roasting and bean quality checks. No parking is available.

I thought Mangwon-dong was only famous for its market, but it turns out it's also known for its bakery cafés?! There were so many good-looking places that I agonized over the choice for a while~
Here's the exterior of the café. At first I wasn't sure where the entrance was — turns out you go around the side and down a level~ Just a reminder, there's no parking, so take public transportation or park at a nearby public lot and walk over.
Since it's fig season, they're selling fig menu items, and this was exactly what we came for!!
What is the café like inside?
The interior of PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch was so clean, just as you'd expect from a café that recently opened! There's a big window that lets warm sunlight in, and we could relax while people-watching outside.
We were basically the second customers, but before we knew it, the whole place had filled up..! If you don't time it right, you might have to wait, so plan accordingly..!
There's also a restroom inside the café, which made things so convenient! No matter how nice a café is, I get a bit hesitant if the restroom is outside.. And the restroom inside smelled great and was super clean too — passed!

Finally, the fig French toast I'd been waiting for! Can you see how great the figs look.. This place is truly a dessert spot. If you're looking for a good café in Mangwon-dong, you have to come here!!
There was a light sprinkle of pistachio on top that added a nutty touch. As a pistachio lover, this was so good haha. The toast was surprisingly filling — we'd already eaten a meal and came here for round two, and we ended up stuffed. But it was so tasty that we finished it all..! Next time I want to try other desserts too!
How does the house-roasted coffee taste with your choice of beans?
At PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch, you can choose the beans for your coffee. I picked a bright, acidic bean for the americano and a nutty one for the latte, and both were so delicious. Not just the desserts — the coffee was great too!!
As a modern person who can't live without coffee, I've had coffee all over the place, and this was one of the best I've had!! I heard they roast and brew it themselves in-house, and you could really tell the coffee here stood apart from an ordinary café. If this were in my neighborhood, I would totally become a regular!!
Why PICT Roastery Mangwon Branch works for a date in Mangwon-dong
With the nice weather lately, my husband and I went out on a date in Mangwon-dong after a while, and this café was so satisfying. It made me want to visit the original PICT Roastery in Magok if I ever have a chance to go there! If you're looking for a great dessert café, coffee spot, or a place with a great atmosphere in Mangwon-dong, I highly recommend PICT Roastery!
