I visited with my family for lunch. As soon as I reached the entrance, the clean and modern exterior caught my eye. Hwaro Yangmi keeps things spotless even outside, so it made a great first impression 👍✨

Inside, the tables were spaced generously so you could chat comfortably without worrying about the tables next to you! Once inside, the space was just as clean and well-arranged 🌿

Thanks to the effective ventilation system, there's less worry about your clothes smelling afterward, making it a great spot for a date or a group dinner. The warm yet stylish interior kept me comfortable the entire meal.

Ordering lamb ribs, lamb skewers and lamb belly

Since I wanted to try Hwaro Yangmi's signature lamb ribs and lamb skewers as well as lamb belly, I went ahead and ordered a variety! As soon as we sat down, I slowly browsed the menu 📖 — it had a solid lineup ranging from grilled items to noodle dishes to cooked dishes.

After ordering, the basic side dishes and various sauces meant to enhance the lamb's flavor were neatly set out 🥗 The side dishes that cut through richness and the well-seasoned condiments arrived on plates that clearly showed care in preparation. The fresh, crunchy sides were great for cleansing the palate between bites of meat 🥒

Juicy lamb ribs, slightly chewy lamb belly

Hwaro Yangmi's lamb ribs were thick yet tender, while the lamb belly was a bit chewy for my taste. The meat finally arrived, and you could tell how fresh it was just from the color — they started grilling it on the grill right away.

To give an honest review, the lamb belly was a bit chewy for my taste, but the lamb ribs and lamb skewers were absolutely perfect enough to erase any disappointment! 💯🎉 Despite their thickness, the lamb ribs were so tender that every bite burst with savory juices like fruit juice filling my mouth. There was no gamey smell at all, so even people who are usually sensitive to lamb's odor could enjoy it without hesitation! 😋

Tableside grilling at Hwaro Yangmi: just pick up a spoon

One of Hwaro Yangmi's biggest advantages is that staff kindly grill all the meat and skewers for you! Usually when you go out for lamb skewers or ribs, you end up breathing in smoke and constantly flipping the meat to keep it from burning, which can get hectic. 💦

Here, an expert grilled everything to the perfect doneness, so I could really just focus on eating comfortably.

Feels like all you do is pick up a spoon! Just bring a spoon and you're set! 🍴✨

Dipping the perfectly golden lamb skewers into the seasoning powder, they were crispy outside and juicy inside — a taste that made me smile without even trying!

We plated the carefully grilled meat and enjoyed it down to the very last piece. The outside stayed golden while the inside remained juicy, so it never got tiring even by the end! With great taste, service, and atmosphere all in one, I finally understood why this place has been getting so much buzz lately! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Since eating meat alone felt like it wasn't enough, we added some solid side dishes too!

Sides: cucumber salad, beef noodle soup and guobaorou

The three sides we added at Hwaro Yangmi were cucumber salad, cumin noodle soup, and sweet and sour pork (crispy fried pork). It's a combination that cuts through the richness of the lamb, and I especially recommend the cumin noodle soup as a finishing dish.

Cucumber salad 🥒: This was the MVP for cleansing the palate. The crunchy texture of the cucumber paired with a sweet-and-tangy seasoning that wasn't overdone, neutralizing the richness so we never got tired of eating!

Cumin noodle soup 🍜: This was the perfect finisher, completely cutting through any lingering richness from the lamb! The broth was spicy and refreshing, leaving you feeling cleared out, and the springy noodles slurped down beautifully. I highly recommend this as a must-order after eating meat!

Sweet and sour pork 🥩: This was the textbook definition of crispy outside, chewy inside. The batter wasn't too thick and the meat pieces were substantial, giving a satisfying chew. The sauce wasn't too sweet or sour either — just the right balance that anyone would like. I thought this place was only good for lamb, but it turns out the cooked dishes are excellent too!

It had been a while since I found such a great lamb skewer restaurant in Seongsu-dong near Ttukseom that nails both taste and convenience — I left very satisfied. The lamb ribs were tender and full of juice, and the tableside grilling service let us focus on enjoying the meal from start to finish!
