At Veteran you can cook your own kimchi pancake (kimchijeon) — but why does it cook so fast? haha. At home it always seems to take forever, but anyway! It was so so good.. we fried up one big piece

Soju, beer, soju, beer, I went back and forth but ended up with beer ~~ 🍺

I ordered the small assorted sashimi (moduemhoe) set

• It comes with raw fish, stew, sushi, fried snacks, and grilled saury

I liked that I could try 5 different kinds of raw fish

How I wrapped and ate the sashimi

It's delicious even just wrapped in seaweed, and the combo of perilla leaf + ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste) was really good too

Spicy fish stew and how to work the self-serve bar

The spicy fish stew (maeuntang) was loaded with vegetables, which I liked, but it got even better once I grabbed garlic + perilla leaves from the self-serve bar and piled them in

There's also ramen noodles at the self-serve bar, so if you're having the stew, definitely add some in ~~

Best of the fried snacks: the fried potato

For the fried snacks there's fried shrimp, sweet pumpkin, and fried potato — and the fried potato was seriously the best
